Testing your Mic doesn't exist

New Logitech headset - Great in discord, everywhere else.

No input in OW, trying every setting. My old RAZR was fine and it seems to remember it?

Any tips? So furious I can’t speak in comp matches. Blizzard never makes it easy…

I guess we just jump in games and hope for the best. There’s a practice range but nothing to test your sound. I probably unlock it with the next BattlePass.

Is your mic muted? I have to join team chat and unmute my mic every single game. I have a Sennheiser headset and like you, great everywhere else, OW does not play nice with it. Make sure ow is set to use the mic of course and after that it might just be that your mic keeps muting itself.

Are you playing on PC?

Thanks the challenge is the interface doesn’t even recognize Logitech - Like I have to bounce between Defaults, NVidia, and other nonsense which is not my mic. Can it actually look at my drivers and what I’m using??

Well you can try going into windows and setting it as the default device then setting OW to use the default device. If you ever had another mic it might be trying to use that. There’s also the option to check in battle.net’s launcher. You know in the battle net launcher where there’s a little gear next to the play button? Click that, go to game settings and then go to voice chat and see what it’s trying to use. You can even test your mic there to see if it’s being recognized.

Yep so I actually tested it on the Bnet launcher and heard my voice - And nope. OW does not connect. I’ll check my windows settings but it’s absolutely brutal to tinker so much to communicate in the game properly

Oh I know. Been there too. Good luck Twhy and lemme know how it turns out. Also be sure to check in OW itself, not sure if it’s under sound or communications and I don’t have it open atm.

I’m pretty sure it’s a bug. Happens to me in some matches and not others.
Works fine in every other piece of software, except the client brought to you by game director Aaron Keller.
