I recently was put into a match where it was 4 Plats + 1 Non against a team of 4 Diamonds, 1 Plat and 1 Non. I don’t get how that works. Its frustrating enough that the comp experience is extremely poor, but for this? Come on. Is this something we have to get used to? are the devs really aware of why com experience is poor? and are you guys doing anything about it?
I haven’t had this issue as such but Don’t forget that if they make the matchmaker more tight that will probably increase the queue times
I much prefer to have quicker queue times even with loose matchmaking

Its just going to get worse as the pop continues to decline, and a result it will just snowball (worse it gets less will play, the less that play the worse it gets). Really its only going to hurt DPS queues, so learn to flex and play Support/tank.
I’m a damage/tank player.
Then play QP. If I play comp I expect decent Matchmaking. No matter if open or RQ.

I expect reasonable Q times. If that comes at the cost of supposedly “decent matchmaking” I can live with that.
I don’t need perfectly balanced teams to enjoy myself.if the other team is better than mine then they should win. If I want a team that is all exactly the same rank as me and same sr then I can use lfg
Wow, ok. Maybe you should read your post again and check what exactly quickplay and competitive means… that’s just dumb

You realize people keep the diamond emblem for 5 games even if they drop below 3000 right?
I also like how people complain on barely 3500 games when one team has 3 people at 349X and the other 350X. “omg they have more masters than us”

If I want good matchmaking, I stick with role Q or open Q. If I want fast games I play QUICKPLAY.
not that hard to understand. But ruining comp because you dont understand the definition of the gamemodes would be a little but much
I’m not ruining anything by suggesting that they loosen the matchmaker a little bit if needed exactly as they did in season 17 and it was fine. That was actually my favourite season
If you are someone who enjoys sitting and waiting for ages I think you are probably in the minority
If you want actual true high-quality matches maybe you should do scrimmages with an actual team but I don’t think you really care about that. You just want to play
