TEN heroes per year instead of THREE

It was meant to be a Team Fortress 2 reference!

We haven’t gotten any quality lmao so let’s get tons.

you’ll get three broken heroes in a row that take years to balance. May as well release more

To be honest, i would rather that the ones we have, become more finely tuned and balanced to the point that almost any composition can be viable 75% of the time.

It is always exciting to have new introductions, for sure but i would much rather see all 28 (29 with the impending new character to be announced at Blizzcon 2018), see usage time across all Competitive tiers.

No fixed meta = fluid dynamic game play = fun times = less toxicity + reduced threads about nerfs

The devs have a specific release schedule.

January, May and August are map release months (live servers.)
Feb, April, June, August, October and December are event months.
March, July, November are hero release months.

And given that, from what I remember, map, event and hero releases take months (some heroes can take a year) to design, balance, test and put into the game. And that’s only for PTR - there’s all the testing on there, too, though I don’t think that’s done well.

Whilst, arguably, many new heroes have been over or underpowered on launch, there’s still a ton of work put into the process. Maps, too, of course.

I don’t think it’s a good idea for 10 hero releases.

Problem is that we’re not getting either.

I would be happy if Blizzard released more heroes per year, but I disagree with

A meta that fluctuates too much will burn out a lot of players and make them upset. It already takes me months to learn a new hero, but if too many were added it starts to feel overwhelming.

Here is a thread from LoL’s forums about it, and their players don’t like the fast paced meta changes from Riot.

I understand your opinion, but I don’t think it works to have too many changes.

Ten heroes per year wouldn’t be good for the game because with so many heroes coming out so often it wouldn’t give time for the playerbase to get used to the new heroes and figure out how balanced they are along with how they fit into the meta.

No thanks. the longer it takes for the hero select screen to turn into the one from HOTS the better.

Paladins has already over 39 champions, the last one, Dredge is basically Junkrat + Symmetra. But that’s HiRez business model, to release content constantly, some good some bad, but they try to refresh their games. Overwatch is facing a balancing stage.

I don’t see any meta right-now myself.

where did you get this information?
He didn’t start throwing, he fully explained this in his newer upload, He tried, he never threw, He just didn’t allways try his best and wasn’t takeing everything seriously, Also, His career high was around 3200 from what i remember, he got with brig to GM, there is no way you can babble out of this.

because you are a GM, He was a plat -_-

no, i did not get triggered.
Your opnions were like ‘‘I Absouletley disagree with what you think!’’
I don’t give a crap about what you think, what you agree with doesn’t affect my view point of the game.

I have been playing CS:GO for about 5 years now, never had so much fun, Balance is awsome, Game is awsome.

That would be horrible. Blizzard already can’t balance

Please don’t try to make another League of Legends from Overwatch with thousands of heroes coming every year. It’s not a Free FPS. It’s a game that have really serious problems with balancing heros now. Imagine:

  1. 10 unbalanced heroes every year.
  2. 10.000 topic on forum: “I quit”, “I hate this game” “Please Reverse the old mercy” “[insert hero name] is broken, please delete” “the new Havananaunanana ult is broken”, “Please delete Brigitte from game”. “Blizz please balance the game”, “I don’t know what to say so I’ll start another argue” and it goes like this…
  3. Even WORSE lags in a game and fights for meta players and one picks, and even more toxicity. Not to say that Overwatch is one of the most toxic games you’ll ever see.

Please man. Don’t do it with your ideas.

The game industry is rather notorious for overworking its developers

IMPORTANT: I don’t actually know what working at Blizzard is like - but I think it’s safe to assume there’s a difference between productivity before launch, and after launch - and here’s my point: I think that’s OK, because based on my (admittedly limited) information, it’s the post-launch period that is actually conducive to human working conditions. And devs are humans.

Or maybe some of the devs migrated to other projects, or other tasks within OW.

Or maybe it’s better to have fully voiced, animated, art directed, playtested, bugfixed heroes who come out with a full set of skins and emotes; rather than mass-produced tat

Or maybe I’m completely wrong and Blizzard should have different priorities.

In any case I think it’s ignorant to call the devs lazy.

i know that blizzard is not able to balance there games, but this game is boring af. Play the same map with the same heros over and over. The overwatch boat has been sinking since release. The playerbase is definitely there but for how long.

Are you insane? The game would be ruined.
People will ask for the insanity then complain why Blizzard can’t balance their game.

While I understand where you are coming from, you can’t really argue that whole ‘playing the same old heroes’. 99% of the community probably doesn’t play every single hero in the game.

No. Just no.

It would be TERRIBLE for the game.
