TEN heroes per year instead of THREE

Overwatch was released with 21 heroes and since its release there’ve only been 7 new heroes.

At the rate we’re going (three heroes per year), that would imply that it took 7 YEARS to create the original 21 heroes, which simply isn’t true. Overwatch is 100% capable of cranking out new heroes and adding immensely to their roster.

Personally, I’d rather have the meta change all the time due to a constant supply of new heroes than be stuck FOR MONTHS in a stale meta. Keep Overwatch fresh and add new heroes Devs. People would stop complaining so much about every new release if you overwhelmed them

with the quality of new heroes we get I rather have none than more lol

Ah yes, let’s release several characters per year, Paladins does it and we all know that turns out well*

*No, it doesn’t. Furia, Koga, Phage, and Khan are all broken and it took almost a year to balance Moji. So realistically if blizzard were to do that they would have to focus much less on balance, which is already an issue

So good luck

Quality > Quantity …

Think about how broken Brigitte was. Now thrust multiple heroes like that in every year… old heroes will not only fall out of the meta, they will become obsolete.

Paladins did this for a year, majority of the champions they created still aren’t viable and are buggy beyond words. I appreciate Blizzard’s polish and care.

Too bad they are crashing like the titanic in both aspects.

After 9 years in devlopment, hopefully it will have been worth the wait

I’m finding the hero rates to be fine. I normally have less than 10 hours on a new hero when the next one comes out.

I still have 1 hour of Wrecking Ball because I hate having one on my team as a support, so it has spoiled my view on him.

Blizz would’ve had an anti-armor hero within months if they had a fast-tracked hero release schedule.

The problem with adding new characters is that they are reactive to problems in the META, and not fun or unique characters that add new metas.

I’m not saying don’t build them with counters in mind, but the characters they add are only gut-reactions to the fan base saying “Why is this OP”

Am i?
I am waiting out the storm on the forum shelter in hopes that the game get’s better, with balance.
But they are crashing in the quantity, and quality of brigitte sombra and Doomfist are literally sonic 06 level quality.

One that probably took shields, had 870 health, could one-shot and cc as well.

That’s counting Titan which isn’t Overwatch and most of it was scrapped. They’ve talked many times on how they only had a few weeks to come up with Tracer and get a playable demo

We got Wrecking Ball , who aside from his bug , is a really balanced hero. Idk why do you complain…
About the thread - 10? I’d say 4 per year would be great.
(Just give me a new Main Healer or fix Mercy and we’re Gucci)

Honestly, I’d prefer that. It would’ve gotten rid of the “nerf Brigitte threads”

No thanks. I’d prefer to keep all heroes balanced and viable rather than adding a new flavor of the month and make older heroes pointless.

Their weaknesses?
No mobility
Not allowed to turn 360
Both one shot and CC are skillshots
Terrible high noon grade ult
There. Balanced.
10 new heroes a year? No more balance ever then. If a new hero is OP just fast track a new one out instead of balancing it. That would be terrible for the game.

Adding more broken characters is not the solution to adding a broken character unless all the characters are broken but that would mean no character is broken but since not all the characters are broken, adding another broken character to counter one broken character would just mean 2 broken characters on both teams and a bad time for the other 8 people.
