TEN heroes per year instead of THREE

First of all, Urnotjustin was a Low diamond who fell, he didn’t screw around and he didn’t throw, even then him climbing to gm with her in under 2 weeks is unneceptable.
He adressed it in his new videos.
Alos watching twitch streamers in GM you can see a lot of Other brigs who climbed in one season.
It’s not just him.

The fact that they allways existed doesn’t make them not bad.
Dive for instance was the most balanced era of the game with high skill high reward, that only affected top 1% of play.
these new metas are just cnacer, pure 100% no skill just rush in there and win, stuns overloaded the game and now it’s not enjoyable for me, debating on the forums is more satisfying and feels better.

Let’s think about this… do we really want a ton of new heroes that end up just either feeling out of place or a gameplay whise just a copy of one another?
Or do we want less heroes but at least with a purpose either in Lore or Gameplay?
We’re getting stuck in a stale meta for a long time because of the way a lot of heroes are designed and perceived. And the fact that balancing is aimed towards a stable permanent Balance which would create a stable, permanent but stale and boring Meta , which it already does.

No, i’d like quality over half baked characters.

They just need to ban heroes and abilities in the competitive mode, to really refresh this game. From what we have experienced, the problem is the stack of abilities, more precisely stun abilities. Banning older heroes, or given the team the ability to choose what ban, the game can only who get better and less frustrating to play.
If they are going to release a big expansion for the game, a sort of Overwatch 2, thay can easily just ban all the current heroes, and let the new competitive mode available only for newer heroes.
A sort of what is going on, in hearthstone. Wild and the current meta. Wild is ash*tfest, instead the “current meta” allow only the legacy cards and newer expansions. At this rate, it’s the only solution.

Let me give you a little history lesson about Titan, a game that never was…

Giving out the abilities to ban heroes would not work… it works in full MOBAs that don’t allow switching midmatch to counter. Either a hero would be banned to not counter one of your one-tricks or to block an enemy one-trick from playing them.

Forcing people to rush creative endeavors is almost never a good idea, but when you’re talking about adding new components to a running problem you’re basically asking for issues. Blizzard is having a hard enough time fixing Rein and he’s been here the entire time, I think we should be OK with their current pace. Most videogames don’t release multiple heroes in the scope that OW is doing anyway.

They can barely balance 1 hero yet alone 10

Ana - Well designer hero. Fun kit. Fun skill ceiling. Nade a bit strong, sleep frustrating, but neither oppressive

Orissa - Well balanced, fun, FPS oriented tank. Good strengths, fair weaknesses

Every other new hero brings down the quality/fun of the game for everyone else involved. IMO

I love most of the cast of the game, but the way things are going I’m liking Overwatch less and less

Edit: Plus they ruined Mercy, who was a staple of the game. RIP Mercy mains

They originally promised 6 maps and 6 characters a year. Then they realized how much money they could make off of events/skins. Then They wanted even more money so they sunk a lot of their resources into OWL.

I think balance also suffered a lot because of all the focus on OWL as well.

Balance should improve with OWL. I just don’t think they quite understand how to balance and preserve what makes the game enjoyable for the most people involved

I am really grateful to the development team for the amount of time that they spend creating new characters. It is a really difficult job to balance all of the characters in the game, and the more characters they add, the harder this becomes. They are doing their best to keep this game balanced, engaging, and fun no matter what your main is (like literally everyone I have my gripes about Mercy, but I do believe that they are trying).

Not to mention, each new character that they come out with is fresh and interesting, from a gameplay standpoint all the way to how the character is designed aesthetically. I’m really happy that they take their time. This also means that they are able to bring us more events and maps, and as other people have said, I’ll take quality over quantity any day.

No no no no no no, the heroes being released already feel stale past year 1. Last thing we need is more of the same. I’d rather see actual new changes implemented rather than a new hero every 4 months or even every 1.5

??? The new heroes are objectively the best in the game. The time they’ve spent incubating longer clearly shows in how they get progressively more balanced.

None of the new heroes have had to have a major rework where as it feels like half the original cast has. WB, Brig, and Moira came in and made an immediate impact which is what we want from new heroes.

Not to mention doomfist being the most brilliantly designed fps hero in the history of the genre. A combo based hero in an fps? That’s actually good?

There’s a freaking Ball as a hero. What more could you ask for?

yes sire! You, Duke of Truth have spoken the words of my heart. I don’t care about skins, event or OWL. Gimme new heroes…THIS is what keeps overwatch exciting, and fresh!

I doubt it. They can’t even be arsed to put out more than a handful of voice lines for events these days as well as cutting down on skins and everything else.

Let’s also be real here, they can’t even balance for crap at 3 per year.
