ike really theres no point in selecting multiple roles to search because it’s just going to get you in the role with that fastest queue and the least amount of players.
In other words, it’s basically tank queue.
And if you queue DPS+ anything, you will NEVER get a DPS game.
So telling annoyed DPS players to “just queue other roles” is pointless since they will never get a DPS game if they queue for any other role, they’re guaranteed tank or healer every time.
They really need to tweak the game finder to make multi role selection actually mean something.

People that say that probably have probably put little to no thought into it so they’re just like “just pick all of them and you have an even chance to queue into any game with any class lol” small brain time
I can’t find the post but someone did the math and if everyone queued for all 3 roles you’d average more games on your preferred role due to the amount of active games. As it stands there aren’t enough players to deal with the dps queue, more people queueing for everything means more open games meaning higher chance to get dps. I’ll see if I can find the post

Its not pointless, but all players have to do it so it has effect.
I click all 3 roles when queing and get DPS about 5-10% of the time. Last night got DPS pick WITH bonus ‘earn loot box’ for choosing that role…

That is odd, i played for 3 hours queuing all 3 roles and it was tank every time save for 1 support game. I didn’t get a single DPS game…

Funny how you will almost always get tank role…its almost as if…tank role wasnt popular because you are literally a punching bag for doomfist or any other high damage hero. Least impact out of all 3 roles. If you arent blocking damage then ur kinda useless.

Its not true that you never get dps.
When I play for about 8 hours on weekends I usually get 1 dd game while multiequeing.

For the past 4-5 days, whenever I queue DPS+ support, it has been giving me DPS games almost every time, around 7 minutes queue. If I queue only support, I wait longer than DPS, up to 9 minutes.
If I queue tank it’s almost instant queue.

The more i interact with role queue the more i feel like we should head towards a honor system. It would fill more games as people played more roles, and if you didnt opt into it, guess what? The people who did are now playing tank and support, so you have a short queue on the DPS slot!
They should have no role select but everyone is randomly assigned a role at 2 2 2 at the sr you play at
