Just curious as to why other players are quitting OW. I don’t plan on playing OW2 at all either. My excuse is due to the nature of bad teammates and toxicity from them and Blizzard.
The gameplay experience is just terrible in any aspect and form.
Even when I feel like I want to play, just playing one game makes me regret it.
Overwatch is only fun when you play it from time to time, if you play it a lot it becomes annoying and you become toxic, at least how it went for me
When Diablo 2 re-master drops I don’t see myself having time or interest to go back to OW.
At best during events I will do weekly Deathmatches.
But when I returned to the game with cross play on it seemed to take a step back. Even Mystery Heroes got less consistent which was never the case during a live event.
95% of it is my friends stopped playing OW. We play other multiplayer games and shooters now.
- Balancing being hit-or-miss with little inconsistency
- New heroes being jack-of-all-trades
- Older heroes not living up to their fantasies
- Game being sterile or safe at the expense of “balance”
- Map design having only one entry point for most characters, and health packs being in unconventional places
- Lore being shallow with little character development or questions answered
- Developer radio silence for indiscriminate amounts of time
That’s just from what I could remember from multiple posts and players on and off the forums.
The worshipping of Esports/Streamer opinions by the players which led to all the heroes I had fun with being butchered for whatever they decide is “competitive integrity”.
MM feels super punishing.
No content over a year!!!
Not even the goofy QPC experience is fun anymore.
Cancer smurfs spread over the game.
Some heroes remain overtuned, some braindead af, which is a NoGo in a competitive shooter.
Balance changes seem also to lost their speed patching now.
Blizzard seem to tolerate sexual predatory behaviour within their working environment. Disgusting af.
Seriously considering to cut this game, and just play something else rather.
I can’t wait for a talent tree system like an mmo/classic wow for a first person shooter
It sounds fun
Non-comp is an absolute disaster, matchmaking is non existent, no coherent match experience at all (event made it better, so I guess it’s the player exodus)
The latest allegations
The longer I play the more I hate more heroes. Now I leave if there is a widow, a sombra (and I am tank), a symmetra, a doom, … I never actually finish a game so I ordered a new graphics card so I can go back to sim racing in VR. I really want OW to be fun but as tank so many heroes either make it too annoying or just melt you (hi Hanzo).
No real tank players anymore. Rol que times are a waste of time. Leavers. throwers. bots. cheats. SMURFS. THE SMURFS. MAN. All of these are not the excepcions. THEY ARE ON EVERY GAME. EVERY, SINGLE GAME. THIS IS THE OVERWATCH EXPERIENCE. OVERPAIN. OVERWASTE OF TIME.
CONTENT??? WHAT IS THAT
we dont have normal lucioball anymore. we cant even have that.
Where is ow2??? where the hell is ow2. Are we suposed to believe that a developed sequel by 3 or 4 years now , with a team of 200 people has nothing to show? oh well, they were too busy harassing women and getting drunk, and playing videogames!
bein false banned by false reports by 5 premades that you cant see. Competitive mode? what a joke
looking for a group should be called " looking for smurf to throw and sell the accounts"

Zarya.

Mercy

Non existent lore

Consistently getting queued into lobbies vs Rein/Zarya/Ana/+Mercy pocketing a hitscan, meanwhile my team has Dva/Hog/Lucio/Mercy (seriously this happens like every. single. game.)
I don’t play OW often bc ive been busy but im planning on getting into it again and play a lot
Don’t forget pocketed hanzo - such fun for the tanks.
biased balancing and 0 intention of addressing the highly skewed bias in community balance views.
We should rename this thread to “Tell us the reasons why you hate the game but will still continue playing nevertheless.”
Just kidna got tired of it, i mained ball for 3 years but he got stale, can’t wait for them to give him a fresh new take in OW2
To me, it just feels like an old game falling apart at the seams, it feels crude now.
These always online, GaaS games do tend to age horribly, so I’m not surprised.
I haven’t quit yet. The 1 trophy that eludes me keeps me playing. I want that 100% PSN trophy list
I haven’t quit, but have cut back drastically outside of events and pretty much given up on competitive.
The game is in a holding pattern for it’s sequel, they haven’t really hidden that from us. You play it for what it is or play other stuff at this point. Not too complicated.
