Tell me what to play competitive challenge

Since I want to do something interesting in Overwatch I came up with idea to play what my team mates want me to play. I will ask my team at start of every game what they want me to pick but I close my profile so they dont know my mains. I will inform them that they can tell me to play something else any time in the game. If nobody react, I will simply play what I want myself. If Others ask me what I am good at, I will probably say that I can play all heroes. If they will feel like I am bad at hero they can tell me to switch.

What do I except? Fun and maybe climbing :), maybe some data which heroes others like to see as their team mates.

My current SR on alt where I will be doing this:

TANK: 1540
DPS: 2040
SUPPORT: 1771

I have recorded many of my runs before, but I will not be recording this. But I will share some informations about games I had. I will be probably open to group up with players in EU if they want to have some fun telling me what to play  But I am not decided if I will be grouping up yet, maybe later if someone will be interested.

Interesting idea! I have done something similar, but instead of asking teammates what I should play, I just picked the hero that popped up at hero selection screen when the game starts.
Gotta find new ways to keep the game interesting :grinning:

reaper < j jhbjhbjhbjh?

So far its kind of boring lol  because in 4 dps games, people told me to play what I like

I will start picking torb mei and bastion and then ask them ? Because generaly speaking people dont like non meta heroes that much so they mind tend to tlel me to switch more

Yeah try playing Bastion especially if you don’t have shield tanks and your teammates will quickly start telling you what to play without you even asking them :joy:

I think this is a great idea. I started doing that when I first started playing this game, before RQ, hence why it was one of the reasons I started maining support.

This is also definitely fun, I tend to do that, but in QP only, since I am not so good on other roles.

What I tried recently, still only in QP is to get out of my comfort zone and play heroes I do not usually like to play on certain maps.

I do not know if any of you have watched the show The Big Bang Theory, but I found myself being like Sheldon where I do not like change. I found myself not being able to play certain heroes on certain maps. I got into a rut for the past year or so, where I was only able to play certain heroes on certain maps depending on attack or defense and having troubles to adapt if I was “forced” to pick something else.

For the past week or so I am trying to get out of that mindset, mostly in QP again, and to play heroes I do not know how to play on maps where I always pick a specific hero. Has been a mind-blowing experience. Sometimes good or bad but mostly good.

I think that people should try to do those sort of things, force themselves to get out of their comfort zones because when they do this the game becomes so much more fun

Yeah that is definitely a great idea too. You can even look at it as a sort of a personal challenge to yourself to play a hero that is typically not optimal for a certain map, and see if you can pull it off.

I agree that people should try new things they usually wouldn’t feel comfortable with to keep the game fun and interesting. I mean that’s the point of a video game right? If you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong :grinning:
