Doom is so bad now that on multiple occasions my teammates demand me to switch. If i dont, they just quit the game. In comp.
How am i supposed to even play at this point?

Do not switch. Embrace the pain like a proper Doomfist main.
I heard y’all wanted Doomfist to be a tank so here you are. Not fun having him on your team? I know. But my teammates are gonna have to suffer as much as I do until he is not hot garbage.

i think hes good had today a df main he had so insane rollout spots and movement he was super disruptive

Cant blame them ive never won a match with df on my team as the tank and i have a great win % so far…js
Take the hint and switch, find something else to main until they rebalance him.

People are still learning how to use him as a tank.
Report them for gameplay sabotage, and any other idiots during the game. Though I would also add may be best to learn him in unranked? Just to avoid anymore issues with those kind. Then when you’ve learnt him enough to make him viable switch back to comp.
If they don’t have the patience for people to learn a new tank when the game has been out 3 days then they’re not fit to play the game.

My complaint is not about my skill, i know i can improve since i’m not a grandmaster or anything. I have 300hours+ on doom and have played tank quite a bit before that.
My compaint is that the hero is so bad that people prefer to dont waste their time trying to make it work because they know it most likely wont

Doomfist is good but right now with their only being 1 tank per team I wouldn’t alienate my team trying to force the tank. In OW1 people would blame poor rank choice if there wasn’t a shield. Now you have only 1 tank to depend on so you may end up getting 4 reports per game if you are forcing doomfist.
I think the issue here is that you acknowledge that he’s bad and that the pick most likely won’t work yet still pick him in a comp match. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen some good DF players in the past couple of days but everything they did could have been done better by a different tank. I’m all for picking off meta characters if you’re good with them but when that pick is easily outplayed or doesn’t work with 99% of team comps at the moment then refusing to switch is borderline throwing.
I personally won’t leave a match because of a DF pick but I also was the guy in OW1 that would stick around after everyone left a match because someone quit after the first minute in game.

I can change on occasion if the mood strikes, but about 95% of the time, either we win with doomfist or we will lose with him, same thing when he was a DPS.
Not hard to see that he is bad and that every other tank is better, but he is my guy and i wont abandon him.
I am not even asking for everyone in the team to support me and switch to a more cohesive team that one hero supports another perfectly. All that i ask is that they dont quit the game when i play my favorite hero.
Is that too much?
I respect the choice but with it being a team based game you may be getting a ban once things pick up.

He seems pretty good ngl. 3s cooldowns is ridiculous. I just dunked on a game as him.
Which is funny, since the team I wrecked the hardest in so far had a doom as a tank. We just pumped his booty so full of healing, he couldn’t die, and he murderered everyone. I was on Kiriko, so they couldn’t even anti his booty (but boy did they try)
Yes, he can be pretty good if the whole team supports him. But that not what happens in a common queue environtment.
Other tanks fare way better in it where he cant do anything on his own other than get some environtmental kills on the few maps where it is likely they would be in that setup

Yeah, totally. Even I am nervous at seeing one, since they don’t seem to know how to block yet, but this guy? he was a monster. He was killing everyone, and not with environmental kills.
I couldn’t believe it, he did block a LOT though. Which is something I don’t see other Dooms doing.
just play what you want, ignore the haters, block and report or leave voice. i main dva and junqerqueen and i get so many toxic people demanding shields.
To make it short: this is a plague on f2p titles. Why bother? You can just leave, if you get banned just make (or buy on Ebay) a new account. Welcome to the problems that are f2p titles. Enjoy comp.
