I didn’t see a reason to switch and they didn’t give me a reason to. I wasn’t being countered I was doing my job and most importantly we weren’t losing and we won the game. I had the medals I should’ve had for dps. The Ana even tries to say I only got one kill because of her nano boost. Actually I had been getting kills the entire game but ok. It looked like they just got even more annoyed the better I did. They even said to report me at the end of the game. yet I was the only one on my team with an mvp card all like almost half the kills. People are just petty in the game for no reason. Some of you need to grow up just because you don’t know how a pick will work doens’t mean the person playing it won’t do well

Play what you are good at and support your team. Healers just tend to get annoyed at dps

I look forward to the day people look at themselves and how they can improve instead of blaming others. I recently just hit 3.4k in a game with masters and diamonds mixed. During that game, I had 2 players who could have swung the game but failed to do so, and I could easily blame them for the loss. That said, I looked at my replay, and there were multiple situations where I could have carried a fight or enabled my team to win. Even with 2 other people making mistakes, I still made mistakes I could fix to help turn the tide. Everyone makes mistakes in game, even a perfect pro game has some mini mistakes. There is no point in flaming someone over theirs, when you have your own to fix.
Maybe one day the community will understand that.

This game got a huge social problem. The fact that you aren’t allowed to play what you want is a problem.

This will never happen so long as it’s a team game combined with the anonymity of the internet.
torb is forbidden pick by a comminity, just accept that, all u can do is shotcall like a god if you want to play this hero and not get banned.
I’m sure you played fine, but just because you’re not being countered personally doesn’t mean you couldn’t have helped your team more by playing something else.
E.g.:
If I’m playing Sombra and doing well but the enemy has a Genji. He’s no problem for me but he might be ruining my backline. Switching to McCree to help my team stay alive is probably better than just ignoring the problem and having gold medals because the rest of my team is getting rekt. Getting all the kills doesn’t matter. Winning the match does.
That said, playing Torb isn’t reportable.

It happens, not trying to rank shame but usualy people below dia have no clue why they lost, so they will try to find scape goat because in their heads is their gameplay perfect even when they did mistakes or bad hero pick. And torb or another non meta hero is perfect scapegoat.
Torb is powerful and after his rework I haven’t noticed any hostility but then I’m not in comms. But still there is no crazy flashing on the character select screen before the match like there used to be.
Sometimes it helps to put your turret near your teammates and let them use it to warn them of flankers etc. People often appreciate that and it might reduce toxity. I mostly place my turret down near a tank and then run off and do my own thing and then run back to help.
People don’t like to give credit to a Torb but there is no doubt that he can swing games especially in silver and gold. Often if I badly want to win, I pick him and the team massively improves.
Report people who false report. Then avoid and block them. and if you really feel like it, tell them to watch your perspective in the replay to prove that you contributed considerably

What if the one trick is countered completely by the enemy team?
Lets have all the players in this hypothetical match be in terms of skill level OWL pros.
Is the one trick throwing the game at that point?
I always tell people to just watch the replay.
People have called me out on things they just made up, and I check the replay, and it’s usually them making the stupid mistakes lol.

You’re looking at it from a Micro level and not marco level. Maybe in the game he is. That said, would he be throwing more by playing a hero he is WAY worse on?
Report them back for falsely reporting and move on.
I’d rather a Torb than 95% of the widow players in the game because at least Torb can stand on point.
Tank/Support tend to blame DPS in most ranks.
As a support I’ve often seen myself/the other support underperform and cause a loss, and as tank i’ve definitely been the loss reason, yet “dps bad swap” always comes up.
If u have Pro level game sense and mechanics then you have no excuse to not be able to play another dps hero efficiently.
So yes they are throwing.
