With the pace I do, I will easily complete it. People seem to try to rush it.
Yes, the rewards aren’t like what they were in OW1, but at the end of OW1, everything felt worthless. I rather work my way through the Battlepass than get a crapton of stuff I will not use or care about just thrown in my face.
In fact, I would even do the Battlepass in an even more relaxed pace and still will get everything.

I also like it because its additional to events and do not replace them. Its something to do even between them and I love grinding some special titles.
Very likely that I will complete the BP also this weekend and then its title time. Maybe with all the time left its possible to get all of them

Question is how long will it take you?
Will it take you the whole season to reach tier 80?
Are you planning to grind to tier 200 for all that extra stuff in the BP?
And what about the next season that starts as soon as this one end?
Will you engage with it the same way and take the same amount of time?
And then the next season? and the next?
If you don’t play other games, I guess it’s fine.
Just a shame devs these days expect to us to only play their game…

Dude, people have complained that they took 2 weeks to complete the Battlepass, while still having like 60 days left. It is literally possible to play the game at a slow pace, like, one match per evening and still get through the Battlepass. There is plenty of stuff and time left outside the game to do.
And if you do not care at all for the cosmetics, even a slower pace to get the hero unlocked.
The grind is in your mind.

Yeah, I gotta say, they didn’t reach me at all with the battle pass. I actually like 5v5 and the new characters, but the progression system does nothing for me, and the rewards I haven’t even looked at they’re so bland
Good for people if they like it, though. Not sure what they could do to get me to like it.

Overwatch battlepass is not the worse possible way it could be, and price wise if you get multiple skins you want on it then its quite good for common f2p game. It could be made better ofc as well, even by giving some credits back from doing it or even free credits to unlock old skins at least.

i play way more than i should and im like 27 or smth. i don’t think ill make it but i don’t really care. i don’t even know what you win tbh, never bothered to check. i care about the gameplay, balance etc. all these are crap and no skin would make my games better. oh look i have a hat guys. zarya 570% charged beaming but i escape with my hat only for moira to hunt me down…

I like the pacing in the battle pass as well, too bad that the quality of content in it is mainly filler “bargain bin” stuff. Junker Queen’s cougar skin is great though.

Almost level 73 on PBP… should hit 80 this weekend, so call it 2.5 weeks. Anyone bemoaning free pass leveling to 55 for a character unlock needs to check themselves… plenty of time before Comp if that’s your thing, if it’s not your thing your opinion is instantly moot.
You get eight skins, multiple highlight intros and poses and voice lines… for $10… what do you expect?

I got to level 38 in under two weeks. I was thinking nobody would have any motivation after 5 or 6 weeks because anyone playing regularly would be done with the BP.
Coming from OW1 I already have good skins for everybody. Even the heroes I don’t play. Prior to it ending I bought up all the voicelines. Even for heroes I don’t play.
But when I started on this account I said I wouldn’t stress over loot. And I haven’t. I enjoy the voicelines. The rest I could take or leave.
Couldn’t care less about the BP, other than having to unlock heroes, which I haven’t yet had to do.
I just wish the solo queue experience wasn’t so miserable. I haven’t played in a while. Not progressing on the BP and I don’t care.

It’s terrible. I solo queue exclusively and the teams I sometimes get vs. the other team to try to carry is insane.

What do you like about it? The ugly skins or the useless junk like pineapple pizza souvenirs and name cards? We used to get actual great skins for free. Now you have to pay and grind for the ugliest skins imaginable.

I hit level 55 on the free pass after two weeks and two days, solo queuing and not caring about seasonal/daily challenges.
How hard it is to max out the pass isn’t the reason I’m not buying it. I’m not buying it because there’s nothing really in it for me. Everything could unlock instantly on forking out the tenner and I still wouldn’t buy it because the Kiriko skin is the only thing I’d really use. The Mercy, Pharah and Sojourn skins are great, but I either have skins that are just as good or I don’t play the character.

You should buy it, to support the OW team. It’s basically 5 euros/month, which is laughable for our hobby. Even going to the gym, or boxing gym ticket costs like 5 times the battle pass, lol.
