What are you swapping too though, both support and dps have characters capable of diving widow, sure it helps but you don’t need a Winston or Dva to do that

Why are you trying to 1v4 instead of using your escape abilities right away, genjis dash resets every kill, you have ways of getting out, at the very least try and coordinate with your team via chat or voice chat if it’s that big of a problem

Look man I’m not all that good at the game and have seen my fair share of widows just dominating my match’s but I at least play well enough and smart enough to make them switch or just harass them enough so my team isn’t picked off

Aye man you’re the one complaining about widow, I at least do something about it and if not then oh well
The onus is not on the support role to deal with Widow. They can try to help and sometimes they can help against her or kill her but that isn’t their responsibility and you shouldn’t expect your supports to deal with Widow the whole game.
Support is the only role that has no option to ohk her but also the only support characters who can survive being “headshot” is Brig with her barrier and Bap’s IF and given the difference in availability between brig’s barrier, IF, and Widow’s ohk, it’s not reliable or possible to consistently do so on those supports.
The main people who should be trying to go after Widow are the damage players and if the frontline is fine, then the tanks. The damage role is best equipped to deal with her and when they can’t/refuse to especially when she is getting supported by her team, it’s very annoying for the tank and support role.
I don’t know what he wants tbh, if he can’t even kill a widow as Sombra that’s just a skill issue

You don’t know that. A tank could read it and actually switch to dva or winston when widowmaker is being supported by their whole team. Yes, there are people who have NO IDEA that dva and winston are good against widowmaker. I’m serious.

There are also people who will complain when the tank does dive the widow and leaves the front line open.
The tank’s choice is often one of holding the line at the front or diving. If I lose my supports/dps to the enemy team while I dive widow, it isn’t much of a trade. This is often a situation where the dps has to switch or everyone plays much more defensively at a choke point to make the widow come out from her hiding spots. That and say, Sigma sacrifices his shield to block the widow to make her move while the supports keep him up from damage from the enemy front line.
I often have fun making snipers dance around my shields as Sigma.

Okay. The tank did nothing to help against the Widowmaker at all. They went Junker queen on attack of first point of junkertown while the widowmaker and the supports held high ground, and their mei kept walling the junker queen (predictable af) and the junker queen probably wondered “why are my supports not healing me while I’m attacking from the low ground” as they can’t even see her to heal her, so it is completely on the tank for being a dumb thing.
The Widowmaker ended up 14-3 and we didn’t even get close to capping. Me, by myself as a lone DPS, have no shot against that without at least the tank trying to contest/kill or use a shield to block them.
