Like what do DPS and Support even do anymore beside shoot things?
All the initiative and creativity is accomplished by the Tanks now.
Im not even sure if some DPS players know that their Ults arent cooldowns.

Yeah, my favorite part is when tanks charge in (Rein) at 1 or don’t line of sight most of the damage, die then blame the support.

A prerequisite for playing any role past Plat is being a good player. And before Plat, a monkey could play and win just mashing buttons.

they say lhcloudy level rein players are losing to diamond level zen players.
Well that’s just because Zenyatta has the highest damage output on the support roster
That’s like if a rein was complaining about getting melted by bastion since he can break his shield and destroy all his health in like 5 seconds

As a GM player myself, maybe that’s because Zenyatta is overpowered? Skill diff overcome by power diff? But nah, couldn’t be that. And only one example hurts your point because the entire Support role isn’t Zenyatta and Ana has counters.

and what does being overpowered require input wise?
just tossing something at the tank and saving a teammate with an immortality button, that is nowhere near the level of things a tank has to account for.
you dont see anas taking a certain approach to the enemy team.
It´s a shooter brother, everyone shoots things
You could argue that one hero or another needs way less gamesense, but all roles need deep gamesense to be played

Lifeweaver is the only character that can change another characters position
Brigitte is one of two characters with a hand held shield
Kiriko’s ultimate increases thw speed of everything and lucio is the onpy character that can speed up other characters.

Speaking of which, I don’t even know how I am supposed to even play tank in OW2.
Do I go for the enemy tank? They are just unkillable.
Do I go for the dps? They just run away and my team is open for attacks.
Do I go for the supports? I get destroyed by the rest of the enemies.

yeah this is the issue, its not a shooter at all. you dont just duel all day.
im not talking about abilities.
timing engagements, ult economy, when to fallback, when to spread out vs when to play brawl, when to lose on purpose, target priority, when to ignore enemy players.
seeing as i dont play queen or orisa, in rein mirrors its still based on who is better.
rather surprisingly they have enough damage to kill us, which is taking a lot to get used to as they couldnt really accomplish that before.
they also get peeled the most, but i feel as they have to do damage that being out of position is required.
but they do get the most peeling i feel, i think pushing them out of a flank is all you need to do.
ive been having a lot of success baiting sleep as hard as possible, without ana all the squishies fall rather quickly.
rule of thumb i feel is new tanks rely on sustain and old tanks rely on perpendicular attacks(soft dive) that disrupt the enemy formation.

Widow. One of the hardest characters in the game. No one else.

Oh so you’re bad, got it. You can’t just “save someone” on a whim. Use a cooldown like that wrong and the team fight is lost. Supports have to have perfect target prioritization to do anything, and have to balance heals, utility, and damage.
DPS have to have perfect target prioritization, perfect timing, great mechanics, and positioning.
As a tank your entire team has to play around YOU. You decide how the game goes by existing in it. Tank is by far the easiest role in the game.

There is no secret recipe, it´s different for each matchup/map/enemy comp
If you´re an zarya and the enemy tank is a dva, why not
If you´re a ball and the enemy is an widow, why not
If there is a gap and you think you can do it, or you are playing dive tanks, yeah
