The point is that it dosnt matter who is your target, Bastion is still there.
You achieve next to nothing.

You need to use your jump to get into position and almost immediately have to use your shield as well. The clock is now ticking. Any Bastion who knows what they are doing will be able to shred his way through you before you can jump again.

You want to kill a support, chances are that at least one of the 2 supports will be either :

  1. Able to peace out entirely (Mercy,Moira,Ana if she hits you,Lucio,Kiriko,Illari,Baptiste).
  2. If they dont escape they have enough self sustain to not give a damn (Brig,Ana,Baptiste,Moira,Lucio,Illari)
  3. Get help from the other support AND the Zarya bubbles so they can stay alive long enough until the Bastion is done chewing through the shield and your health.

I do believe that you can pull it off dont get me wrong, its not entirely impossible its just very,very risky.
Most of the time if you actually manage to either escape let alone kill someone with a stunt like that, its just unnecessary risk at that point, because that team is borderline incompetent and could roll them over with just about anything with less risk involved.
Its just way too many things working against the Winston at that point.

Except those other doubles never flat out nearly killed the game, sure they are annoying, but there is usually a reasonable chance in dealing with them. Double shields would even require tank busters to get through them, which would be counter intuitive to your point.

Yes, in OW1 Tanks either got free values with easy synergies, or got frustrated with no end when the enemies picked good comp, while your team ran Hog Ball torture.

In an essence, Tank diff.

I am very disappointed to learn that even at these levels this is the case, it is not only the game that has deteriorated, but also the level of player involvement.

One wonders if it becomes reasonable to persist in wanting to improve, if everything is inexorably deteriorating.

Thank you, Deep Rock Galactic, for being such a good game, even if your season 4 is of a lower level than the previous ones in terms of overall quality, while remaining very decent.
It gives new hope to the field of video games, something that Overwatch has become incapable of doing.

A game like Baldur’s Gate 3 demonstrates that we can very well create an AAA game that respects the player, but will ABK’s Blizzard bought by Microsoft and without the harmful influence of Kotick be capable of this kind of miracle, only the future will be able to tell us, and unfortunately I don’t expect much.

In 6v6, in addition to the 4 other teammates it was GG when your second tank didn’t help you; unless the other team’s second tank didn’t help their tank.

So you’re effectively suggesting we go back to a worse situation.

I think the main issue atm is how inflated rank is atm, I was masters in ow1 and it was vastly different now, and unfortunately it’s pretty obvious if someone’s profile is public, cuz there’s almost always that jump from gold/plat to masters in like a season, which coincides with that like rank boost thing they did for everyone

so really, masters and gm in ow2 are about the same as ow1 diamond, but now everyone is just mishmashed together to a point where it becomes more of a dice roll than ever

? this is such a weird take because one of the biggest pros of 2 tanks was being able to have them do different things
like, dive heroes could be off tanks and focus on taking space from high ground and stuff, or countering a widow, and the main tank would focus on the objective

or you’d get like zarya rein where rein could be a lot more aggressive while also benefitting zarya

I mean even like sigma hog had inherent synergy while not really needing to help eachother

and like again, an off tank being an off tank took a lot of pressure off the main tank and allowed them to make space a lot easier than just having to bruteforce it now

Tanks do not need a second tank teammate. While some Tank players may want a second tank teammate, it is not a need.

As long as they halve tank damage and utility I’m fine with this.

And your dps has gone bastion to counter their zarya. Why is your team always missing in your scenarios

So let’s just say we do go back to 6v6 despite the queue times becoming horrible for dps. So tank players, are you guys all of a sudden going to become main tank mains? Or is it just gonna be all the off tank mains playing two off tanks acting like dps? Because it’s easy to get off tanks to play the game. But main tank mains barely existed. So what’s your solution to this issue?

Hilarious part about single tank is they omega boosted tanks to raid boss status in S1. Non-tank players hated fighting tanks, but this boost was appropriate since the tank took the responsibility and power of what was 2 players. Now all the tanks have been gutted across the board to similar OW1 tank stat levels. If they’re gonna backtrack then put the second tank back in smh

I had that same thought and I really wish they did. I play Dva/JQ, I don’t have the style to do shielded stuff. Those two are decent at covering each other’s weaknesses but I’ve been lucky that I don’t get a lot of games where the team is coordinated. When they are, It’s almost impossible not to feed when getting out of hard cover because no one plays around my agro. I don’t want to have to learn how to play main tanks, they’re not fun for me. How about they just stop drinking the nonsense juice.

That’s in the exact same vein as people don’t need to play Overwatch. Not a valid point.

To me, the problem is damage flies all over the place. I think it was necessary for double shields but now everyone dies and gets low health far too quickly. It’s closer to call of duty levels. This is a real problem when DPS doesn’t fall back to a health kit. I’m constantly tethered among everyone when I play support, not going too far in anticipation of someone needing help in 5-10 seconds. This is further amplified by all the OHK. I rather EVERYTHING take a massive reduction, Damage and healing. When a team is focused, it’s possible to die before you even could blink twice.


I personally missed playing alongside a friend who played Rein when I did Dva. No one is going to deceit what I saw with my own eyes. The fights were more fun in 6v6 and we don’t get the luxury of having it as an arcade mode.

You can play with two tanks, sometimes even in 3, just not 100% of the time. Use your :brain: .

I wish we could go back to balancing under Open Queue again. Pull tanks all the way back to being DPS with extra HP. Pull healing all the way back to being supplemental rather than vital.
