I get that deathmatch isn’t the primary focus of balance in OW2 right now, most likely never will be.
Though it’s becoming pretty annoying that anytime I’m waiting for a game in deathmatch, I can’t actually warm up properly because half the players are on tanks.
I have no issue with tanks being what they are in a normal game, each team has the same amount of them. But in deathmatch it’s just an unfair advantage that makes the experience boring.
This one I agree with. Used to love deathmatch. And seeing the occasional Roadhog being bullied by entire lobby. But now with tanks being so very buffed its just a pain. And deathmatch is moved to unranked so can’t even use it for arcade stuff in the challenges…
the reason why i only play it between games now. I’d do the arcade challenges if mystery hero’s and deathmatch were still there. They made so many illogical dumb decisions with this game.
I am that one Hamster player who only goes into deathmatch ffa not to win, but to say hi to everyone while I take breaks from tryharding x3
Nothing like listening to some accordion music and emoting while the lobby murders each other. Actually the endorsement spam is also a good incentive.
As for tank spam, I am unsure. Yeah the large hp pool is hard to deal with, but tanks are a large target. How about instead of giving the tank an elimination after 1 kill, it rewards a full elimination after you defeat two enemies. That way tanks are the same, but playing them means you also have to work twice as hard in ffa.
It was always the case in OW1 that RH had a huge advantage in deathmatch. It’s just now so that almost all tanks do.
I get where people are coming from, but if I can kill tanks in DM as Mercy, Ana, and Zenyatta without any legitimate hard struggle, it sounds more like a lot of people need the practice against tanks if anything. When you can master killing tanks on non-tank characters, you are a much better player for it.
Look at it as more of a challenge, if you can kill a tank, is it not vastly more insulting and satisfying when you win against them?
