Tanks definitely need the most changes in 6v6

the gap between the good and bad tanks is too huge. none of the two other roles have such gap, while I don’t have stats.

so far, Roadhog is by far the worst tank in the game and it’s not particularly close. somehow worse than he was in OW1 post nerfs (after they nerfed his gun from being able to one shot). and even worse than 5v5 hog (how??). give him a broken car door to use as a shield or something, worse case scenario he should just be given the same kit as 5v5.

Ball also sucks. he absolutely dominates in 5v5 in a lot of games I play and I haven’t seen him do well one game in 6v6 (I will say small sample size there)

Mauga, kinda like hog, ult battery that is easier to kill. not as bad, but also not very good in my opinion. he just dies faster in 6v6 which means he can’t do what mauga does and he brings nothing but damage anyway.

I think feeding tanks is the norm in 6v6. One tank jumps in to distract enemies and another follows up.

Ball is probably fine if you’re good at ball but most people aren’t. The worst tanks in 6v6 are probably the same as the worst tanks in 5v5 right now, as confirmed by the devs; mauga orisa and hog.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they intentionally made those tanks bad because people simply do not like to play against them, even if they’re less annoying with 2 tanks on both teams.

I think JQ has got to be the worst tank, there’s no way. She doesn’t even function with her healing.

I rate her higher similar to hog because she can at least displace people and jigle peek corners without exploding. Mauga has to do sustained damage but can’t actually really live being in the open for sustained periods of time without using cardiac which is a 15s cd, and if you don’t you just lose so much HP

Because of how 6v6 tanks are squishy in general, the meta will be which tank provides the most sustain, which is usually barrier tanks for metal ranks.

This 6v6 experiment is not that different to OW1 6v6. More drastic reworks are needed.
Not sure if these devs want to put the time and money needed for that

I think I preferred Roadhog’s resource healing.

What Tanks need are better teammates half the time. I’ve been in games where both Tanks tried to flank and the rest of the team followed neither of them and died rushing the choke. Other times the Tanks create a ton of space but they’re left to die because everyone else refuses to push unless there are no enemies in front of them because they value staying alive over winning.

A lot of tanks just explode when 6 enemies target them. For whatever reason only Rein got improved survivability of his barrier. Zarya is still obnoxiously strong, but something like Hazard just flat out dies on the spot.
