… unless you always get both healers to pocket you that is.
By my experience these cases are very rare.
-people always spread around and never go on the objective
-you end up alone on the objective having to fight the entire enemy team
-there is usually always a dps moira or you get 2 offhealers
-you get the blame for being bad tank even though there is no one on the objective to protect them
-if you try to hide when not getting enough heals you are labelled as bad tank
-if you try to kill the enemy support because your dps doesn’t you get destroyed because the other team heals each other and you get no heals
-people feel entitled to tell you who you should play
-dps blaming you for not doing enough dmg even though you are dependent of the healers while the dps aren’t
-people ignore pings
The comp q times are also starting to reflect that.
Recently I actually feel less oppressed playing support than playing tank.
Hmm, I wonder why? My queue times in competitive is 4 - 4 - 1. In quick play its 4 - 3 - 1. I tend to have a better time on tank than dps usually.
Play orisa and have a blast.
If your team won’t group up, you should put effort into learning Winston or Hammond. They don’t rely so heavily on supports and can get work done on their own if the enemy team is also being uncoordinated.
winston heavily relies on team lol.
Nah, the barrier, the jump, the ult, he’s even got a ranged attack now. Use those corners, learn those healthpack locations, and forcibly encourage teamwork by jumping to whoever needs help.
He’s not as self sufficient as Hammond, but he has the tools to succeed on his own if the enemy team isn’t ganging up on him.

I mean you’re wrong.
Hog and ball are the better self-sufficient tanks.
Winston is one of the most team-dependent tanks.

As I say to everyone playing the game is miserable. You aren’t going to win in any category you’ll find bad Tanks bad dps and horrible healers. This is a teambase game and now name me every teambased game out there whats the same issue 24/7?
My team, my team, my team they never follow up they don’t heal they don’t kill they don’t do anything and unless you’re queuing a full stack you’ll always face this.
Play Ana on my smurf yesterday. Pinging slept people, nobody comes. “Shut the **** up pinging Ana” lmao

Yes and no. Much of it is map dependent along with how is the enemy team reacting. Shield blocks a ton of damage into you meaning you can usually stall out long enough on shield alone to back out. If you play the high ground well to say leap to high ground, wait for cooldown on leap to come off, come down on people, place shield last minute when people see you, you have leap to get out ASAP to minimize damage taken. You always have emergency ult to get back with little damage taken.
Hammond is a lot harder to play because any trash damage you take can’t be blocked and you can only get so many health packs. Winston is just a lot easier to solo with, but you can find yourself shut down more often when people star to heavily counter you.
Playing Winston into a hog, torbjorn, brig, ana, reaper team is annoying as hell. You can still harass brig/ana if you play high ground really well, but its tough. I actually started playing Winston more often because he felt like the only tank that was easy to play and self-reliant.
I call Rein more dependent upon team than Winston.
Hog is a good choice too, but he doesn’t deal with spread out teams very well if their damage are holding high ground. He’s easy to focus and can’t do much about it besides heal and waddle away.
Winston can contest high ground or retreat to it and his barrier gives him much more leeway in surviving dangerous onslaughts.
Don’t underestimate Winston man, he’s pretty good
I find Zarya is easier, because you can subsist off of small healthpacks, and ignore antiheal and most Ults
I find the biggest problem with Hog is AntiHeal.
Sleep is usually no big deal.
But not getting your HP back sucks.
