Tank hero abilities idea

New hero: Casino
Health 300
Armor 300

Primary weapon: Machine gun
Pellets: 12
Damage per pellet: 6
Firerate: 9rps.
Machine guns burn after long use. Casino has to wait for his weapons to recharge to be able to use.

Ability 1: Area control
Casino’s mech sweeps into enemies dealing damage and soaks damage up.
Duration: 3.5 seconds
Cooldown: 14 seconds.

Ability 2: Protective window
Casino creates a 600hp window that halves damage taken. (similar size to amplification matrix)
Duration: 12 seconds.
Cooldown: 12 seconds.
Cooldown starts once protective window duration is complete.

Ultimate:
Casino’s mech health and armor doubles in size and firerate is increased by 15%.
Machine guns also do not burn.
Duration: 6 seconds.

Passive: Casino heals team mates 5hp per second when a max of 3 allies are in a 12m radius.

Im glad you came up with a good idea for a tank without adding more barrierwatch to his kit, my only minor critique is that his gun might be fairly similar to hammonds in terms of pellets, but I bet Im thinking of sumthin different from your original idea…ncie work we need more tanks as we only have 7 and some arnt viable

“Black Coffin”: this ability produces a unique cubic barrier with relatively low hp (400ish) that is especially dark and smaller than a Winston bubble (just barely big enough to fit Sigma, Rein, etc). Enemies inside Black Coffin cannot see past the barrier and are slowed down. Parts of enemy barriers that are in contact with Black Coffin do not function, allowing the user to place a gaping hole in an Orisa barrier, for example. I’m thinking something like a 13-15 second cooldown.

Could you elaborate a bit on this ability though? Im having a hard time imagining it and situations for its uses.

It’s a cool idea however protective window seems really underpowered compared to other tanks. Other tanks have barriers that have more hp, have a shorter cooldown and protect you from all damage instead of half. Maybe if it had no hp and instead just had a time limit there would be more reason to use it.

Say a bunker comp is taking place, casino would jump in with his mech and sweep everyone out of the way dealing damage while also soaking damage up to distrupt the enemy team and make space for his allies.

yeah but what do you mean by sweeps? Does he dive bomb in with the mech like Dva boosting in or does he fire off the mech like Ashe does with bob? How is it disrupting the enemy does it boob them, pin one and keep pushing them?

Its more like a winston ult just his mech.

Don’t we think 648 dps is… a bit much?
