Tank having too much win/lose power

Anybody who suggests mirrored winrates are useful in any way, is wrong.

If facts are in your favor, argue facts… if they aren’t, pound the table.

You’re pounding the table. As long as the data is gathered in a consistent way between heroes it tells a story. You don’t like the story it tells, which is not in your favor with regards to Widow nerfs.

You also have not shown your data proving that OW is losing players due to Widow’s rein of terror. All you have posted is wild speculation.

If you don’t understand the math involved, don’t talk about math.

For real, if you don’t know how consequential mirror/unmirroring is on winrates then you really have no idea what you’re talking about.

And that doesn’t even begin to cover things like the skewing factors from time weighting.

Keep pounding on that desk and yelling that nobody understands your brilliance… Blizzard still isn’t going to nerf Widow’s HP. Feel free to bookmark this post and refer to it every few months.

The devs literally made an entire blog post about how they don’t use mirrored winrates and they use time weighting.

Overwatch 2 PvP Beta Analysis: How Data and Community Feedback Inform Game Balance

I get more upset when a game is miserable due to an awful hero pick by the tank player. like you’re playing a map with high ground and your tank picks a hero that doesn’t have range nor mobility and the enemy team competently uses the high ground to great success. your tank is having negative value and wants to lead you into terrible positions to support them.

I figure 5v5 is here to stay and I’m not even sure I would want 6v6 back for multiple reasons, it also wouldn’t be in the spirit of Overwatch to make tank heroes more homogeneous. if we want a bit more stability across games it’s gotta be in the map design imo.
high ground plays a big part in why so many games suck and it’s not that 1 tank is significantly worse than the other skill wise, they’ve just decided they want to play a tank that isn’t compatible with the challenge at hand.

FTFY.

You can blame 5v5 for that, one of the reasons why it was such a bad idea.

Nah its not the tanks… Its the support that will determine whether or not you win

What I don’t like about 5v5 is the amount of pressure put on your shoulders when you play tank. There is hardly any room for error or to be creative. It takes the fun out of playing the role and has made me play it considerably less often in OW2 compared with OW1.

I’m familiar with the post… I’m criticizing your assessment of the game. We’ll find out who’s right when they don’t nerf Widow’s HP.
