Tank Doomfist:
When everything goes right it seems like OW1 Doom never left in a way. Shouldn’t take the best one tricks mastering every aspect just to get value of course, but it’s clearly not going to take huge buffs to get Doom to non-throw status in most games.
He’s good but people still haven’t figured him out just like how he used to be before people learned that he’s a good DPS.
He’s still the worst tank though
If the player is good with a hero they can make them look amazing and can carry. However, that doesn’t mean he isn’t weak.
GM teammates communicating and following up on what he does is probably a bigger factor than just ZBRA being god.
However most people are still used to him being DPS so they don’t really have a present idea of how he plays like other tanks. Even worse most players would rather not see him picked than learn to play around him. Needing so much effort and things to go “perfect” in his gameplay loop is just stacked on top of this, at that point you cut loses and switch to another tank and make a bigger impact fast.
