It’s wild how many players on here are acting as if all the issues they have ever suffered in this game over the past 6 years are a result of there being two tanks in play.
Let me say this one time-
You deserve your rank
If you truly believed tanks were holding you back, you would go queue Open Queue where tanks are an anomaly below 3k.
But you don’t do that…
You continue to queue QP and Role Queue then complain that your tanks threw the match.
Here is the balance of power on ladder, and I say this as a player who started at 1500SR on tank, in Role Queue, in Season 21:
0k SR to 2.8k SR- #1. DPS, #2. Support, #3. Tank.
2.8k SR to 3.4k SR- #1. Tank, #2. Support, #3. DPS
3.4k SR to +4k SR- , #1. Support, #2. Tank, #3. DPS
If you are “stuck” in the metal ranks because your tanks are “constantly throwing” you need to reevaluate your own play. DPS are the strongest role in the game for punishing sloppy positioning, and that’s all that exists below 3k. It’s likely your target priority suck, your own positioning sucks, and you have mechanical inconsistencies.
If you are a support “hard stuck” at any rank, idk what to tell you other than you never learned to play Bap or Brig, two of the top five heroes in the game and you only have yourself and Blizzard to blame for choosing to main a weak hero- not your two tanks.
And if you are a seasoned tank player with a variety of ladder experience, you know that supports hold you hostage 85% of the time with their picks and DPS control the vast majority of match pacing until around 3.5k SR, despite dropping off in power. You can easily throw a match while playing a “likeable” hero and avoid all blame at lower elos because players don’t understand what throwing on certain heroes looks like. They just fixate on who you are playing and rarely how you are playing.
All this to say, one less tank doesn’t make you a better or impactful player overnight. If anything it’s going to further highlight your sloppy positioning, the enemy’s sloppy positioning, your mechanical inconsistencies, the enemy’s mechanical inconsistencies, and how broken/trash your chosen hero is.
