What does talon wants from zenyatta? You think they’re there to kill him? If that was the case, they wouldn’t approach him and just snipe him.

I think they want to bring him to Ramattra. Maybe so he protects Zen from the invasion and the mind controlling devices or something like that.

Nobody else speculating the possibility that when Sombra and Widow say they have found him, they are talking to Zenyatta about someone else, updating him, a sort of mission report… now what a twist that would be

He’s an robot who can summon forth mysterious, borderline-magical powers without any apparent technological modifications. Everyone should want to get their hands on him.

Interesting concept, I’ll give you that. But highly unlikely.

various opinions:

  • they want to bring Zenyatta to Ramattra, who wants to convince him that Mondatta’s death has unleashed the worst of humanity. but here we need to contextualize whether Ramattra actually don’t knows that it was the Talon who killed the pacifist leader and that they are manipulating Doomfist’s grand plan into unleashing a definite war between humans and omnics to prove which faction is superior.
  • alternative version of the previous theory: Ramatta knows that it was Talon who killed Mondatta and agreed to this sacrifice to convince the omnic community that Mondatta’s methods were wrong. probably he wants to convince Zenyatta that he was right that we must react with total violence on humans. Zenyatta didn’t agree that peace would be achieved only with religious propaganda, he still wanted to fight against injustices instead of passively assisting them only when there was a need. Ramattra evidently saw in Zenyatta an ally to the thought that Mondatta’s methodology was wrong, but he wanted to interpret it in a more violent and vengeful way.
  • we don’t know what role zenyatta plays in the omnic shambali hierarchy. consequently, we do not know whether with the death of Mondatta Zenyatta is now the most important representative of the shambali. as a result, Talon may want to instigate more anti-omnic hatred with the death of another great omnic exponent.
  • last theory, the most plausible: Zenyatta is among the few who personally know Ramattra, the leader of the Null sector. for all the PVE the new overwatch has no idea who this character is, and Zenyatta could be a dangerous informant who could predict the moves and character of this leader of the null sector. With Talon and the null sector wanting war, they have every valid reason to stop him from joining Overwatch, whether it’s letting him live, killing him, or reprogramming him. Ramattra probably wants Talon to take care of him, to prevent null sector drones from failing where they have already failed in recent Overwatch interventions in Rio and Toronto.

They are going to capture Zenyatta and that’s where the Talon Mission Campaign Begins where the Overwatch Heroes save Zenyatta and something insane happens in the future.

Right now we have no clue what will happen to Zenyatta.
