Talon is the good faction

Will there be a moment in the Overwatch lore, in which Talon is accepted as “the good guys” in the history?

The goal of talon and the vision of doomfist may be so, since they seek to prevent a major catastrophe, caused by Overwatch and the other governments, or prevent a invasion of aliens/demons.

Something like that to Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan.

What do u think?

Betcha they’ll bring in a all-new faction of bads for OW2 that compels Talon & OW to work together…
76, back to back with Reaper gunning down the new faction:
“Just like old times, huh Gabriel?”
Reaper: “You shut up.”

Talon can’t be the bad guys … everyone in Talon belongs to some sort of minority and we all know only white people are evil …. i can feel an other ban incoming :sob:

Talon is a TERRORIST organization.

They’re not good, they’re not misunderstood.

They’re terrorists.

I know the community loves to come up with headcanons and theories that try to portray the Talon members as potential “heroes” or misunderstood individuals, but they’re not.

Widowmaker is a professional serial killer.
Moira was rightfully shunned from the science community due to her blatant disregard of morals and scientific policies.
Sanjay has literally BLOWN UP city blocks to progress Vishakr’s ideologies.
Reaper is killing former Overwatch members and presumably absorbing people’s biomass to probably sustain his own life.
…and Doomfist, this man just wants to cull the world’s population to where only people he deems strong is left surviving.

The only Talon members who can be seen in a neutral or misunderstood light are Sombra & Sigma.

Other than that, they’re evil.

Definitely. I believe this is where the Gwishin come in. Overwatch, Talon, the Junkers, Hanzo’s ‘gang’ and whoever else will have to join together to save the world.

Doomfist wants to make humanity stronger.

Moira wants to use her intelligence to make life better.

Reaper wants to rise up again and get revenge on morison.

Sombra doesn’t care about Talon, she cares about what benefits her.

Sigma is being mind controlled, also he seems like a polite person.

Widowmaker only kills when she is ordered to do so, she doesn’t kill innocent people.

Mauga doesn’t hurt you if you don’t get in his way.

Baptiste, well… he left Talon and is now a good guy.

Maximillien pays others to do his dirty work.

By culling the human race with senseless bloodshed, war and chaos.

Completely disregarding morals and the value of life for her own personal morals and the lives being used in her experiment (note: Reaper’s current condition).

This is true, but also, still not a good thing.

This is true, though her moral standings are very hazy especially when one considers her activities in Mexico in mind.

Not mind-controlled, he’s being manipulated and having his mental disability taken advantage of, which is arguably worse.

That’s still not a good thing, and Talon HAS targeted innocent civillians in the past.

Widowmaker, while being a professional, is still a serial killer who derives joy from murder.

Mauga openly follows Talon ideology and doesn’t see anything wrong with accepting said terrorist ideology.

Maximillien is a coward but openly participates and enjoys the outcomes of Talon’s activities.

Talon is still an underhanded and awful organization.

I don’t see how Talon could be considered good guys. Even Overwatch isn’t considered “good”generally speaking. Assasinations, political subterfuge, weaponizing biological research are all huge moral failings. Talon can add such wonderful things to the list such as killing civilians, torture, brainwashing, kidnapping, and other general crimes against humanity and the Geneva Convention.

“The ends justify the means” only so far, and Blizz would be hard pressed to present Talon in a positive way given all that.

Literally Widowmaker & Sigma’s origin stories can pretty much describe just how horrible Talon is as an organization.
