It’s a new start for Overwatch, you made a lot of balancing mistakes even though the intention was good but there is idea. Now for the game to become interesting you have to remove the ultimate ability that prevents Overwatch from being a good game on its own: Tactial Visor.
We’re talking about an FPS with lots of different characters, different abilities and mechanics, with lots of differents gameplays. And in the middle of all this you literally put an aimbot on us? An aimbot in an FPS?
I know there are a lot of people who don’t want to see the problem because they’re playing Soldier 76 and this ultimate ability that rewards a total lack of skill suits them well, but really realize that this ultimate ability destroys the game.
Soldier just has to charge his ultimate with his basic shots, and once his ultimate is ready, he just has to wait for a shield to be broken, or a protection skill to be used, and then he uses his aimbot which literally allows you to kill the whole team when it requires no skill, really none. And there’s no way to counter it. Absolutely none, and to say that there is would be bad faith. None protective abilities last long enough, and all defensive ultimate abilities recharge slower than Tactical Visor. And as for the shields, just wait for it to be broken, Soldier is very good at destroying shields so it’s not a problem, and in the worst case, this character being very mobile, he can simply bypass them.
So find something, anything, you showed us with the reworks of the different Overwatch 2 characters that you had plenty of imagination for new mechanics. But don’t leave out an ultimate ability that requires no talent, no skill, isn’t counterable and is also powerful and game reversal. Give him an ultimate ability with a mechanic that will still be strong but failable, and that rewards players skill not replaces it.
Agreed, and many more abilities need to be rebalanced.
To keep Visor as an example, we started with unlimited role, then open queue, then role queue now 5v5 with only 1 tank and some abilities like visor saw little to no changes.

You mean the ult you can literally just walk around a corner and stand still for a few seconds to completely avoid? (you’re not standing in the open when soldier has visor, are you?)
Tactical Visor is insanely broken in OW2 lol. Majority of the time you don’t have shields. Majority of time a soldier will use it on a flank/high ground or combination of both of them. You just instantly die.
On the push maps he can flank from everywhere and even if you do survive, usually half your team is dead anyway so you just die.

Like seriously I’ve only died to it once yet. But majority of the time i’m the last one standing because I had the awareness to avoid it. Most of the time I hear him running behind and go ‘here we go again’ go sit in my corner on brig and watch my team get pewepewpepwepwpewp and then wait for their team to chase me down lol
it’s a lot stronger and braindead i agree for sure but there’s indeed some counters for it. easiest way for it to be countered is for a dive tank to wreck the 76 up. DVa can DM the whole thing, wintson can lock him in a bubble and destroy him, and ball could tank most of it with his protective shields while killing him with a slam and a little bit of primary fire (although ball is a much weaker counter to visor and dva is the easiest hard counter to it by far).
It is; Soldier’s damage per bullet was lowered afaik. Ultimately, tac visor is still just… his primary fire. I think it’s better than it used to be, but I don’t think it’s at the top of the DPS ults by a country mile.
