Symmetra lock on beam is an iconic ability, pls dont remove it, we can balance this!

let’s just say, I don’t know what to think about the changes.

This is Blizzard we’re talking about, something will always go wrong, and it will take weeks to fix it, Mark Jellys words.

i did with no word say that you talked about zarya… i talked about zarya.

What about making the photon orb the main damage dealing ability (faster projectile speed, faster charge), and keeping the lock on at the price of a static damage value?

Where did I mention Zarya again…?

Jelly might be right. :upside_down_face:

I choose to be optimistic about the rework, just like I was about Mercy. Played Mercy before and after, and I enjoyed both, but I prefer Valk Mercy to Mass Rez Mercy. The initial changes were great, but what was NOT great was the constant nerfs that came in the following months. So annoying.

Hopefully, they tweak it before it hits the PTR and it works out well. From what I’ve seen, whatever goes on the PTR usually rolls out onto live.

Rofl at the excuses using disabled people as a reason to keep it

Might as well make every hero
Easy to use for disabled people if that’s your argument for keeping it

The static damage value would be pretty low.

Keep it removed, I’m glad to see her inter dimensional no aim murder beam to be gone.

Hmm.

I don’t know. I prefer a damage ramp up over auto-lock but that’s just me.

People say the auto-lock is cheesy and cheap and it is SURELY cheesy but if I can start snowballing the enemy team and my damage is ramped up to full, and I start wrecking on Symmetra, I feel like the damage ramp up is my reward for surviving. But again… that’s just me. :upside_down_face:

there is a difference between changing one ability that is clearly out of sync with the game and completly deleting and redesigning a hero from scratch. not a single ability of symmetra has remained untouched.

Jam refuses to be optimistic😡

He’s mad as hec for some reason🔥

(I can’t stop him, he’s on the lose😱) watch your threads.

there is a thing called empathy and talking about disabled gamers was not my main argument but it added to my point of view

I can’t use my dominant hand too well anymore (medical reasons) and I’ve generally relied on the less aim intensive hero’s as a result. That being said, I think this will be a healthy change for sym. I wouldn’t mind a bit less damage in exchange for a soft lock, but we have to balance for the majority.

what about pharahs rockets, lets prune them aswell, who likes them anyways i always die to them

is this really your argument?

I’d prefer it gone. It’s the most broken ‘ability’ (though it’s her lmb) in the game, even beyond infamous ‘scatter’ (f to pay respects).

Saying a hero requires zero aim is not ‘iconic’, it’s not fun. She’ll require minimal aim after this, but everything else about her kit seems stronger. The people complaining to me seem that they don’t want to train their mechanical ability to practice aiming. Her overall lmb damage is going up, so long as you have even halfway decent aim. That’s fair for both parties.

Yes, her rocket’s cannot kill you if they go straight at a wall, whereas her beam would continue to stay locked on through a wall and kill you.

actually the ramp up is what is the problem because most of the time you die before you can actually microwave people. the higher in SR you go the faster you die when you lock on someone to ramp up damage

Doesn’t matter feels like you’re using them for your own reasons

What if a disabled player wants to play mccree? Should we make him have lock
on?

I… What?

Did every character not rely on aim? No? So I don’t understand the point you’re making?

They are drastically changing a character that was great for players new to FPS games and players that have disabilities that make aiming difficult. Now there are even less characters for these players to use, and there is no reason for it.

Sym should be removed from the game entirely. She is a hero used by small group of players that ultimately make the game no fun to play with or against and the rework does not sound any better. She’s iconicly terrible and a waste of dev time.
