Get mercy and brig to support you and bam melt stuff. Sym is still pretty effective against double barrier but she’s been reined in a bit.
She still needs 250 max life though
She’s not viable if she needs to be pocketed or only useful against “trash” reins as stated in above posts .
Buddy, before you make complaint threads like this, make sure you put in the time to spell words correctly (especially the name of the character!) to make your argument more credible.
Symmetra 1.0 and 2.0 hardly needed any pocketing, but 3.0. Sadly she needs some team synergy to succeed due to tp and nerf kit.

i don’t disagree that it’d be nice to have this, though
she already lacks mobility if she’s using her teleporter for something else, but then she lacks any defensive cooldowns even if she saves her teleporter, due to the cast time, yet she’s also only 2m away from where mei’s max range is, which, realistically… is basically the same distance, i mean, let’s be real, she backpeddles and someone walks forward and it’s already 2m

Imagine needing 2x supports to even do any useful damage when I could just pick Spamzo to accidentally delete someone.
I would trade any proposal of 250 HP to instead giving her beam static damage. Make it a permanent 150 DPS or something like that, so that you don’t have to be pocketed for two seconds before you can deal the same damage as Soldier from a longer distance.
Getting 6 turrets back now that it’s damage has been severely nerfed would not hurt either.
Symmetria is definitely underpowered.

30dps isn’t “severely nerfed” from 3 turrets hitting the same target
unless you mean from 180/s of 6 turrets
then, yea, 180/s to 120/s is pretty huge, but that was at the cost of getting more usable turrets overall
i don’t agree that it should have ever been nerfed at all in the first place, but 10/s per turret didn’t kill her
yet, even after calling 30/s (when all 3 turrets are hitting a target) “severely nerfed”… your suggestion would be to… remove… 20 more… TOTAL output dps… from herself?

the charge-up mechanic isn’t bad on its own, it’s just that fact that she lacks anything to utilize to defend herself during the charge-up period
giving her burst potential with 150/s beam all around messes her up in other ways, particularly when she uses an orb in melee range
but not only that, you’d be reducing total output even further, which is, again, simply worse
once you get to level 3 with 180dps with 250hp, you’d still be better off, rather than if you were at level 3 with 150dps and 200hp
that’s a bit of a stretch
she could use some work, especially after being bombarded with minor nerf after nerf after nerf when she was finally being seen as a meta pick when the beam fixes finally went through due to the barrier meta, but she’s basically fine as-is for “just another off-meta hero who can’t compete with the meta heroes”
Yeah, at this point the whole charge up thing just feels like a gimmick they’re trying to force. I would welcome a flat damage number.
She does less damage than she did when she was a support. Because apparently people couldn’t handle her the 2 weeks she was almost meta. Not even meta, almost. Like B tier instead of A.

you could at least argue over the actual facts about her that are making her less desirable, which, yea, can be very real arguments
but 120/s beam damage, with 180/s from turrets at 1.0 and 2.0, has converted into 180/s beam damage, with 120/s from turrets
that is literally the exact same amount in total
technically, her damage actually increased when 3.0 first launched, and only equalized after the newest nerf where turrets deal 10/s less
It isn’t because she had 100% accuracy before. It’s down to 40% at the 99th percentile. So it’s less than before with everything running.

Max damage reduced by 45dps.

so, fine, you’re not wrong that having 100% accuracy is going to drastically improve all the damage you do
but having an output increase for the loss of a trashy mechanic to hold her back was a fair trade off, at least, so, whatever

150 static DPS would be a huge overall upgrade, though.
60/120/180 with a level up of 1.33 s (if you aim is perfect)
So over 2.66s, that’s 239.40 damage, and then +180 per second after that.
Flat 150 DPS would be 399 damage after 2.66s.
It would take 5 more seconds after that for the ramp beam to surpass the flat DPS amount of 150. That’s a HUGE amount of time in OW.
(Also basically third all damage values, cause Sym’s live at ~30% accuracy with primary)
