Symm still has crazy dps!

Yesterday, enemy symm melted our team and won.

This was crazy!

UPDATE:
alot are saying “well nobody paid attn to the turrent”
The issue is even if one or 2 of us called it out, look how fast it melts us. The dps is the crazy part. Not only that but the angle it’s at, nobody on top had visuals on them and anyone that dropped tried to contest point but got melted within seconds.

Na their Sym was just better then your Sym.

Also you gotta shoot the turrets first. You should never ignore them.

We didn’t even see them. One by one by the time we dropped and noticed them we were melted.

We were being hit from both sides

The turrets do a ton of damage if you ignore them, not to mention they hold you in place. Everyone’s going to die pretty much instantly if they’re just walking straight into the full car wash.

That part of her kit hasn’t changed in a pretty long time. But that was totally a big brain play on their part.

You should’ve been… aware? Considering they make noise and make you slower, turning around to melee them wouldn’t waste too much time…?

True, though your team should have called out there are turrets in the bottom. Also its possible to use your own Sym turrets to shoot down other Sym turrets since they will destroy any flying ones.

Sadly I think your main issue was your team’s like of awareness and communication. Which is understandable since the enemy was contesting. I am not saying your team is bad in fact you seemed pretty organized, but I do think you could have handled it differently.

Sym literally did what she’s supposed to do; use creative traps and lure you into them.

It’s not Bulltoots, you guys literally had multiple chances to stop this and THEN you decided to jump into her traps like lemmings.

You have ignore sym, it’s course the she kill all your team :man_facepalming:

especially your orisa.

I do have to agree with this one, your Orisa was very unaware of Sym’s presence.

shoot the turrets you don’t know are their while they slow your movement speed to turn and look at them, and the sym is melting you next to them too?

That is why the whole team should have called out, or even turn their backs.

Also where were your team’s Sym turrets placed?

so turn your backs to the 5 people shooting at you from behind, to take care of turrets and 1 person, are you starting to see why this makes no sense?

I run a lot of Sym, and the teams that give me trouble 1) expect and usually assign someone to delete turrets, and 2) focus me down. Ironically, I run Mei as well, and its the same problem, if you don’t focus her down, she’s going to create trouble. Is that really any different from getting hit by a good spamrat, spamzo or Widow? As someone suggested, you too can run Sym… its not one team only…

Now that I think about it, JR is an amazing counter…

The shielding is the big thing, if she can’t charge of shields, she runs through her beam clip pretty fast and then the power drops.

Or, or one person from your team of six deals with the turrets so you don’t all turn your back and the turrets are destroyed.

Well Orisa did put her shield down, the team should have called out and want around the point.

Also if you notice that your team is suddenly dying to turrets, isn’t that a red flag you should not jump their?

Good to see the Symmetra still functions as an intelligence check for players. Smart ones will learn to deal with her.

What is really crazy is your team expected to win that fight while giving them the point without any ult contention.

All anyone had to do is turn around for a second and destroy the turrets.

Also Symmetra precisely counters tight bunker holds like the one on first point Numbani, like she’s designed to do, by bypassing mandatory sightlines.

Looks good to me.

Sym turret’s don’t require a whole team to turn around and destroy three of 'em. Turn around, melee and go on with the fight.
