After being on PTR for half a day, the forum has been flooded with threads complaining about the nerfs.

For some perspective, those of you who think these nerfs are warranted, just have a look at how many forum topics are complaining about this (not including my own):

Wow the people who play a hero that has been a throw pick for three years and gotten them reported for choosing her before the doors even open, are upset that their favorite hero was nerfed not even a month after finally being considered viable. Not even OP. Just “viable”.

Also reported for obvious trolling, but I’ll take the bait to completely shut you down.

I try to check out the forums daily, and I’ve NEVER seen a topic have so many threads made on it, and I was there when the Mercy rework happened.

If that isn’t an indicator of a questionable decision then, idk what is.

(EDIT: I guess to be fair, Mercy threads was funneled into a mega thread)

The changes didn’t make her viable though. She’s still awful because of things like leldoomfist.

Agree’d. The last time I saw THIS level of outcry was when they were going to nerf the ever-loving-s*** out of Lucio and the entire community told Bliz off… and they reverted the changes they were planning to make before they went live.

We’re not saying any changes to Sym made her viable. She’s viable because of the current ‘double shield’ craze that’s going on because a new hero just came out. So I guess f*** us when the Sigma hype dies down and we’re left with a needless nerf.

Especially the part where you claimed she’s not OP and yet the devs have nerfed her almost immediately.

Also, bonus points for petty false reporting, you must be fun to be around.

But she’s still not viable even under double shield. Even the best Syms in the world seriously struggle to survive long enough to break anything.

These all are Sym main people who dont know how to aim and enjoy the OP Sym beam to melt 500hp tanks. Sym should be out of OW but as Blizzard have spent a lot of money to make and develop this hero so they will not do so.

i had a roadhog who had a hairs breath of hp left and i couldn’t finish him even with a lvl3 beam merely because of his heal immortality ability, turned around chained and insta killed me, why are the wrong characters getting buffed and nerfed?

you do realise the time it takes to CHARGE up to a powerful beam you can be insta shot in the head from widow/hanzo/mccree…shes a glass character like tracer without the mobility

riiiight she’s OP because you didn’t check her so she can build her lvl3 beam up, you do realise the time she builds it you can insta die by mcree/hanzo with range that equals of a sniper? faster killing is NOT the same as insta killing

I’m not blizzard clearly have no idea what they are doing with her even though their dev team apparently has a Symmetra main on it.

Their Symmetra main didn’t notice the photon barrier bug on Sym 2.0 for 9months if they even noticed at all when it took me literally 30 seconds to notice it the first time I played 2.0 on PTR.

It sucks but Symmetra will always be in the gutter and always get changes that don’t really help the good players.

Symmetra had every aspect of her kit nerfed and now she’s so hard to play. I played her before she was ‘viable’ and was able to do more than I can now.
