Sym Buffs? No nerfs?

Photon Projector

  • Primary fire damage per second increased from 60 to 65, scaling with each stage. The new maximum damage per second is 195.

Sentry Turret

  • Health increased from 30 to 50.
  • Damage per second increased from 25 to 30.

Teleporter

  • Health increased from 50 to 100.
  • Shields increased from 150 to 200.

Very safe buffs that will do little to actually fix her as a DPS hero.

The most relevant thing here is the extra 5 dps on sentries, everything else is fluff.

The extra health is amazing for 1 simple thing.

Melee only is 40 damage, meaning someone cant kill a turret with just melee

Should have just leave turret damage and TP health and just increase her HP but I’ll take this.

One thing i think they also did this for is for how dominating dva is, almost 200 dps on symm in the frontline will melt a dva real quick

Yeah, usually when symm gets buffed theres a nerf thats equal if not worse, because itll mess up the way shes played

Coordinated team don’t care about TP health because they only use it once.
Individual Sym can play more aggressive with this. It’s a good change.

It’s something, but she’s still too slow to respond. I don’t think this is going to change what I felt was a big problem for her before, she can’t reliably confirm kills. It’s just spam. The charge time and speed makes it so hitscan will pop you and duck out before they even have to worry about it.

I like some of the changes, but I was really expecting a HP buff.
I don’t know why it’s so hard for these people to just revert a recent nerf.

Getting to use the beam is the most difficult part, she will still be stomped too easily anyways.

At least the TP hp buff, which I wasn’t expecting, means that you can TP a bit more safely. These buff are “something” but I was really hoping for some real love.

your hero is still going to be bad. considering its still perma tracer meta lol. i think sym would thrive only if tracer gets nerfed. or rather, any other dps hero thrives if tracer wasnt a must pick

That’s the weirdest part. Sym is supposed to be an anti flanker, but she’s currently getting destroyed by them.

I really hoped for a faster deply time.

You already got to aim/place it, having to wait to use it just made it even slower.

It was certainly silly that Zarya both did more damage and maintained high damage easier, but Symm’s gun was still the better gun with the life steal and ammo regen quirks it has.

it’s because tracer is beyond broken. she’s too strong at the moment. if tracer was just reduced to “just strong,” then sym can stand a chance being the anti-flanker. maybe sym having 275hp would be the final nice buff to her
