Clearly sym 2.0 didnt work for blizzard, and seeing as in Sym 3.0 has issues as well, and since blizzard is just going ham with reworks
Is she gonna get reworked again?
what are we gonna do this time? let me guess symmetra can throw barriers. her ult is a giant sentry?

I hope not. She is in a great place currently for those willing to put the time into learning how to use her.

It’s a giant controllable sentry that’s kinda like Junkrat’s RIP-Tire only you can fly like Mercy’s Valkyrie and you just zap people with your train sized beam.

That actually sounds terrifying

I don’t think so. They can buff this version unlike Symmetra 2.0.

Great place yeah, right. What about that main weapon that requires 65% minimum accuracy to charge up in the way the developers intended because they added too many check tics, making her weaker than Sym 2.0 from a DPS standpoint? She was literally better as a DPS while in the support category, and now she is fragile and slow, yet is placed in the attack category.

i mean they could
they didnt even bother to try tho
“Actually think of a buff? naaaaah, just rework it, should work, if it doesnt jsut ignore the community”

QOL changes not rework
This symmetra can work with a right qol changes!
Her problem now is everything in her kit is slow and have conditions to work, If they made them faster and have lower cooldowns then she can work as a dps.
- faster TP deployment and interact range buff
- lower sentry cooldown and faster projectile speed/can stack 6 but can only use 3.
- faster charge rate of orbs and faster projectile speed
- weapon charge 2 levels instead of 3 and range buff to 18 or 20 meters, fix damage against armor
- photon barrier can be relocated after deployment and 20 second duration timer.
As a symm main i like her gun now but no one can deny that she needs changes but not rework.

Considering how Blizz is STILL trying to give bandaid fixes to the ungodly fail of a rework Mercy got, Sym is probably going to have to sit with her rework. They’re too stubborn to change it I suppose.
If they actually plan on fixing her, I’d say she needs power shifted out of her secondary and into her primary, and from there, buff her teleporter speed and just make her ult into an ACTUAL dps ult.

The size of Wrecking Ball, with a beam the size of Moira’s ult. I’m down! Make it happen!

Maybe in another year from now.
In a great place if you mean having no parts of her former self. She was gutted and I can’t even stand to play her anymore.
She is in a great spot! F TIER! Now if only brig would join her.
Just imagining Sym just instantly building a city with Turrets as her ult… it’s basically a map within a map

she only needs small changes at this point

I agree.
The current Symmetra is really fun and more usable than the previous Symmetra.
She just need small changes that makes her feel better like faster beam charge and more survivability.

Nah, Symmetra 3.1 is going to be one that fixes her.
Just like Windows 3.1 was pretty cool operating system back in the day.

If you are using the primary weapon as your primary way of killing, simple. You doing it wrong. If you spend enough time on Symmetra you learn that isn’t how you play her. You want to try and get kills with her secondary more often than her primary. Just reading a little bit about her primary weapon gives away that it is intended to be a shield breaker OR to be used on tanks under/in proper circumstances. If you using it any other way, again “You doing it wrong.”. But, sure just ignore the fact that her secondary wrecks face.
She is placed in the DPS category. Which she is great at.

I felt the same way after hearing she was going to be changed, but I sucked it up and played her. Re-learned her & really quite enjoy her kit again as it is now.

I wonder… how overpowered would they have to make Symmetra for the community to accept her? In her previous version she was incredibly powerful in certain situations, and even then people would ask them to swap off her simply because the community has decided that she is “bad”.
In her current version she is much more team friendly all around, but not as strong in those niche situations where the old Sym thrived. I watched Seagull play her quite a bit. He carried his share of the load at the very least, and carried entire games fairly often. Even so, the ex-OWL player found himself getting warned that a lot of people had avoided him.
The community is so entrenched in the idea that Sym is bad, I genuinely wonder how crazy overpowered they would have to make her before the mob mentality changed course.
