Sym 3.0, Moira and Brig are basically what 2.0 playstyle evolved into, (each from a different style played with Sym 2.0)
But one day I would like to see return of Auto Lock Beams (that Charge over time), Summonable Floating Barriers, and Ults that are Teleporters (was never of fan of the Shield gen).
I think those parts of the kit were really unique and I enjoyed using them.
But I don’t think they were good for Sym at the current time and the direction the meta was going. (You could have seen this if you saw how well Brig and Sym paired so well.)
So one day I hope a future hero will have these abilities when it’s more acceptable.
(Maybe Even on a Tank)
Edit: Gonna Highlight this: 💙 Imagine a Tank that is never in the frontlines (Lurker TanK)
Cause I wanted people to go there, instead of here.

I dunno…
The auto-lock beam made so many people angry and honestly, it kind of stomped low rank.
The floating barrier was a pretty bad ability. It had a few niche uses and that’s it.
New Sym has a far more interesting, strategic teleporter than Sym 2.0’s ult was.

She was also even worse than what she is today.

I consider Sym 3.0 to be a new hero, not Sym 2.0.
Sym 2.0 playstyle was completely unique to what we see today.
(That Floating Barrier was perfect for me at least.)

Echo looks like an auto lock beam hero to me.
Brig is more Sym 1.0 playstyle to me.
Sym 3.0 is the focus on the improvement of the Orbs and Turrets (but made into DPs)
Brig is expanding of the Floating Barrier and melee side (Plus Shield Gen) but made Healer.
Moira is the focused on Beam, Orbs and Turrets but made into a Healer.
(Sadly this wasn’t the way I played Sym but guess they focused on the most common playstyles and improved them.)
(I played more the long range Barrier and Teleporter side aka it was more like a tank that was never in the front lines, I did play like the current Brig but my playstyle was more against Snipers and objectives. Very Strategic. My Teleports were unreal. My Barrier, scary because of the Piecing Orbs and of course sometimes me. Turrets were more recon tools.)

I see this a lot but i’ve never seen any proof of it. Only smurfs playing at Low Ranks.
She had an amazing winrate in low rank (still does, actually) and you knew it if you actually played her in low rank. I played her a fair amount in gold/plat and honestly a DPS would be pretty much doomed if I got them into a duel, barring a couple that countered her well (Junkrat, Reaper, Doomfist).
Sym wasn’t any better in low ranks than she was in high ranks that was just a misconception you can look at her winrate to see that

And this is also just very very wrong lol look at stats it takes like a minute and they you won’t be constantly misinformed
Nothing wrong with liking sym 3.0 just don’t spread misinformation:p

I wouldn’t use stats because it used to be popular that less then 1% of people played Sym before switching. (The stats are very messed up for the hero because of all she has gone though)
(the stats are stuck in its own version of hell, were it still hasn’t separated Sym 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 and lot of other variables.)
Yeah it’s just the pickrate hasn’t changed yet the winrate has gone down so it doesn’t stand to reason that sym 3.0 is so much better than 2.0
It’s just that these people like sym 3.0 more and they are just very biased. But yeah enjoy the new hero but they shouldn’t dis the old hero. They are doing the exact thing that people that don’t like to work with sym 3.0 do it’s hypocritical

Again there were a number of ways to play Sym 2.0
(Why common styles turned into 3.0, Brig and Moira)
(I highlighted the style I liked over here: 💙 Imagine a Tank that is never in the frontlines (Lurker TanK))

I hope, I want to see a hero similar to azir from league of legends. I LOVE that champion.

I hope to never see another one in a fps. Ones that deal dmg anyways, fine with mercy healing being one.

I like this, but seems more for 3.0 not what I am going for.
I hope those abilities come back to symmetra.
to who they belong to.
Nah, it’s too late to go back, she is someone else’s hero now.
(we would basically be forcing someone else in our shoes, thus starting a cycle.)
Better to find a new hero for this playstyle to work with.
