So I have had some issues since off season. I have been maining support for pretty much every season just so other players aren’t forced into the role.
I wanna play the other roles, I am bored of Mercy and Moria. But the problem is when I go to play something other than support I get called out and told to a support because I’m a “support main”… It’s getting frustrating.
I have been called names, blamed for the lose(even though I’ll be gold elim/damage) threated to be reported… just because I’m not playing a support. I’m not going into a match and picking a third dps or something like that I’m normally first or second to pick. This happens even when it comes to playing a tank. If the dps/tank roles are filled ill go support but if I have my choice still I pick something else…
This makes me feel like a role select should be added… But with the different types of meta and play/combos It’s impossible to do.
So I’m stuck im getting to the point where if I hear people already telling me to play support before the match starts… I tell them I’d rather play something else and once they get toxic I just leave chat, but it’s not fair to everyone else… But also sometimes the toxic spreads if we are losing or someone does something it spills onto me and than everyone just blames me and requests to report me.
why not an LFG, so you can always queue up with premade 6 stacks?

Unfortunately, the friends I started this game with don’t play. They are all on pubg and fornite, can’t stand those games.
I have added people over time but most play alone.
I shouldn’t have to lfg just to play a different role, maybe I will look for a group.
My personal solution is to spend a lot of time on Mystery Heroes. It’s not great, but you get familiar with a lot of different heroes than you’re used to (sometimes even the ones you wanted to practice); no one complains because you didn’t choose this hero, just like they didn’t choose their hero; and people who actually know how to aim and play the game are shooting at you instead of AI.
I know how to play the different roles, atm I’m learning widowmaker. But I can play every tank well. And for dps I can hanzo, solider, McCree, junkrats, mei at a decent level. I just don’t get to play 3m as much as I want.

How does one do this, LFG you speak of? Like is this a thing?
think of it like a giant list of help wanted ads and a giant list of resumes. Some people have groups looking to fill and some people are alone looking for a group.
It would probably look a little similar to custom games menu.

I suspect and hope Blizzard is working on something like this as we speak. It does not exist at the moment. A lot of people say use Discord to find premade groups, but I want to do it organically, in the game itself. And I don’t like Discord anyway, but you may like it, idk.
Yeah, I think a good LFG system would be pretty great for the game. But I mean it would need to be something you accept. I don’t want it to be like WoW, where it finds like 2 tanks/2healers/2dps. I like the different combos like triple tank and when it works. triple dps or any combination of this stuff.
yeah exactly! think more along the lines of the LFG for RBGs
