First off congrats on the switch port, it runs at consistent 30 pretty much all of the time, so ow2 is very optimized
But makes me wonder
Can’t it run at 60fps?
The switch version now also has higher texture resolutions, more shadows, and reflections, I bet if we removed all of those we could reach a consistent 60 in a performance preset? Maybe?
There are no shadows anymore, they took the easy way out for best performance.
I see plenty of shadows for the structures, will say haven’t noticed character shadows which could definitely have been the big performance boost

Yep the port is great, was playing on my porch earlier while the kid rode her motor scooter! Honestly felt so good when i first started i thought it was running at a higher frame rate. Really shows 30 isnt bad if its steady.

I booted up that version last night and i can say for sure that it felt better in every way to play even at 30 fps.
As for 60, idk. It already dips below 30 a lot of the time even with a lot of visual features gutted and even then, it still looks and runs better than fortnite on the switch which is an absolute visual mess.

I think most of my dips have been when respawning or selecting a hero which is not a big issue as it’s done on spawn, and only lasts while the hud loads
For me its specifically when a fight breaks out or theres simply a lot of characters on my screen.
