Can we please do something about the Switch dilemmas? I know it was just on sale and there is another huge influx of players who don’t invest into the game.
But what happens is you queue these new players with higher skilled players. Then you punish the higher SR players later for winning said games, as if we chose to inflate our numbers. Is there a reason we can’t have fair matches? Is it ridiculous to think I paid full price yet my game experience doesn’t get nearly the same attention to detail? Is it crazy to think there should be an age seperate queue system? Or to stop putting Bronze/Silver players into Diamonds for no reason? The new player experience is already so poor with the complete lack of anything accessible in the game.
{ Edit: speaking of QP. You queue players like me into brand new lobbies, level 6 Bastion and such. That’s not enjoyable to play at all. EVERYONE is new. And if I leave, you punish me for leaving. Why am I being punished for wanting to play your game? Yeah, great. I had a thirty-two kill streak as Moira. That’s what happens when the enemy can barely leave spawn. You know what that feels like? A waste of time. Same when I win these games against level 25 Reinhardt’s who hold their shield up in the 1v1. That doesn’t feel good. That doesn’t feel fair. }
At some point, you must do something for retention, right? Right? Or am I the idiot for thinking there would be something in return for my time and money?
You know, we don’t get alternate accounts and so on when we’re having a tough day. And if we play arcade or QP on our main, apparently it screws up the MMR. I’m thinking, because nobody actually knows. Our platform is very isolated. And it’s very frustrating. I paid forty dollars. I don’t get access to PTR. I can’t save nor export highlights. I changed one setting and now my replay viewer and certain other interactions are busted.
Flight for Echo and Mercy is so clunky. I don’t play Genji or Hanzo much, but the wall climb always feels off.
At the door, overall, it’s okay. It’s amazing it runs as well as it can. But then there’s another change to a hero I play to benefit mouse users and oh look, there’s another feature I can’t use. Spend hours looking into how to make one character’s grapple extra better and I still can’t connect to Voice Chat. You know? It’s one thing to be generally ignored. But it’s another when you want us to keep investing for nothing to benefit us.
This is almost entirely separate from balance and where I think y’all are going. And your refusal to balance for our T500. You said you want to compete with Fortnite, but can you? Are you bargaining for too much? Or are my expectations too high for a five year old game? I only play now out of habit. Because all the hours I used to have fun playing. And the rare occasion like today where I got to play with some people I used to team with. IDK I’m kinda rambling on now. I don’t think your game is “dying” as other people might say. But I don’t see much reason for me to keep playing. Hope maybe somebody might read this and bring it up at the next meeting. Or tell me I have it all wrong.
