skins have to fit the hit boxes for heroes. also one of the reasons a lot of the base skins are skin tight so the devs have more freedom to model skins around them.
brigās armor is a bit too bulky to do anything that really shows skin.

Yeah, and when the gold skin is equipped, it stops being clear, and the entire shield is Gold.
