If it’s 5v5 why are we still relying on teammates for everything ? Isn’t that part of the problem that they moved to 5v5 is more individual impact? Part of that has got to deal with addressing flankers.
I mean you or anyone else doesn’t really have a choice. OW2 is going to be 5v5 said the new director of the game so…
Sure some people are others are not though. Fairly disingenuous to lump every person who has expressed a dislike or concern of this massive change as just raging and not thinking critically.
I am done giving them chances. They need to drop a test build for the community before ow2 launches.
I respect svb and I believe him and flats debate was amazing I want him to do one of his big discussion streams about this.

No sports team worth their salt would do that. If anything, this allows them to specialize.
Because it’s a team game. Why else? Seems pretty clear to me. More individual impact doesn’t mean you don’t help your teammate by peeling for them. I don’t see how there’s any room for confusion there.
My choice of not playing the game is more than enough for me. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt to prove to me their ideal of the new formula will compel me to continue playing OW.
Point out specifically where I am lumping every person in who has expressed a dislike or concern in. You’re sticking your foot in your mouth. Especially after I already said from the jump I’m not excited about 5v5.
And that’s your right. Like I always say, if you aren’t enjoying things anymore move on and find something else.
Well, the game will be pretty different for Zarya, Hog, and D.va players, but for everyone else it’ll be mostly the same from a basic gameplay standpoint. Those three are the only characters that will need to make heavy adjustments to how they approach a match.
Has that been confirmed by the devs or is it purely speculative?
Assuming they stay the same way they are right now in a general sense, I mean. If they still have the same kinds of playstyles as is currently, then those players will need to change how they approach matches more than the other tanks would.
I could see that being the case, but we don’t know. I think it’s better to hold off from making a statement that your sure of when there’s so much to go in development. They might change how DF and Sombra work for example.
Where you said the exact words? You haven’t. However the over all tone of the post is that feels that it is suggesting that if a person is saying it is going to be overall bad for the game is a person thinking with their emotions and didn’t take the time to go down the rabbit hole of all of the work that Blizzard has to do to even make this work. Which I’m sure some did, but not everyone went to the forums and just started raging at it.
That tone applies to those who think primarily from an emotional level, that’s why I said we. It’s for those to take a step back and be more critical with their thoughts. If you’re not guilty of it, don’t worry about it.
And BTW your initial quote taken from me was the same post someone else typed out their grievance and I said I feel the same way. How’d you miss that and come to the conclusion my “tone” was anything more than a generalization?
“SVB is voice of reason”
Also SVB: “99% of you will like it”
80% of the time statistics are fake all the time.
Where’s the lie of him being a voice of reason? If you watched the video and paid attention you’d see where he addresses there will be players that both do & don’t like the change whether they’re for it or not. He also never alluded to most of us liking it. What he is saying is they are making an effort to address many of our concerns and that it’s not a bad thing to give them a chance.
I might end up hating the change and will put OW2 down to find another title that’ll occupy my gaming time. What I’m not going to do is be so judgemental about it that I close myself off from the good that could come from change.
If you go searching for negative things you’ll always find them. So for now I’ll remain cautiously optimistic.
They specifically said that they were making CC more exclusive to the tank role. You can’t have Wrecking Ball without Wrecking.
The best way to effect change on a game is voicing how you feel on an issue. People who are being negative are doing what they need to do get their concerns to the devs, and that’s more likely to result in a better balance as they likely have complaints the devs haven’t thought of.
People don’t need to keep their negativity or emotions in check. What they need to do is express it in a respectful way. That’s it
If you can refer me talking about checking our emotions you can surely see that I said voice your concern directly before that.
Yes. But telling people to “checking their emotions,” and “give the devs a chance” is obviously about wanting to people to be less negative in their criticism and not just dismiss the entire concept with negativity before they’ve even tried it.
Which is not something they should be doing. They should be negative because it’s negative to them.
Negativity and not wanting to try out something that wouldn’t be reversed after it comes out is perfectly reasonable. There’s nothing bad about customers hating something a company does and they should voice that hatred.
It’s only a problem if they do so disrespectfully.
Negativity is necessary, but I also said some negativity. That means there are times we need to put our emotions in check. Putting your emotions in check is about discipline and determining what is disrespectful or even constructive. Voicing your concerns also is directly tied to emotions, so I don’t see what the issue is in understanding that.
Let’s not forget I said in my first paragraph I am not excited about 5v5, so it wouldn’t make any sense for me to tell people they need to be happy about the change or that they shouldn’t voice their concerns.
Does that make sense?
If what I’m saying doesn’t make sense to you that’s fine. We can just agree to leave it at that.
What you’re missing is that GreyFalcon is saying that 95 percent of the playerbase believes the game is Rein or lose.
Which is slightly hyperbolic, but also true at the same time.
That’s fair. I’m not sure if you had read my post below that, but SVB talks about the OW community and Tanks and how these perceptions are being addressed by the devs.
