I have never said Sym = Throwing, nice putting words in my mouth. I have been saying that you were banned for throwing as Sym.
If you are going to main Sym, just be ready to switch more so than other mains. Trying to force a Sym pick can lead to an extremely toxic experience more so than other heroes, which is why I think Sym feels as though she gets targeted.
So… by “I only feeling completely outplayed when I have a poor team” do you mean any time the enemy picks Pharah or Widow?
You’re saying if you’re gonna play sym make sure to switch off sym. Come on man I can’t keep dancing this dance with you. You clearly think I was throwing but throwing to you is one-tricking.
Nonsense. You don’t need all 5 people to pick around Symmetra and people do still need to pick around Dva. Tanks and healers are the core that determine what the comp will be. If I’m healing with a Dva on the team, it severely limits what healers I can pick because she’s the most healing-hungry hero in the game at my elo.
The only people who say that Sym needs 5 people to pick around her don’t play her. You only really need a healer who can support her.
Those two are never synonymous, that’s why previous Blizz statements has separated the two.

I’ve won a lot of games against pharah and widows. Widow also counters almost all of the support characters and so does Pharah.
Usually, somebody can take out the pharah or widow. Widow is easier to play around even as sym theres a lot of times you can give her a hard time. Pharah is harder but so many heroes counter her its hard to have a team that doesn’t.
That’s actually not what he’s saying at all, hes saying switch off symmerta if your team is making no progress and needs to switch up. If you’re doing well as a team stay on symmerta, its just that he’s correct in shes a harder hero to main constantly. I main reaper and sometimes have to switch bc his DPS is not what we need sometimes.
Yeah and he ignored the times I do switch. He acts like my playtime is 100% sym. Its just mostly sym because sym works almost all of the time. “you don’t switch so you’re throwing.” well I have switched and everytime I switch we have lost.
So it seems to me like the problem is not just Sym now is it?
People seems to assume that all people who play Symmetra at all are 100% one-tricks.
You have 10 hours on Sym and 20 mins on the next most played hero in competitive. 60% win 40% loss, lets pretend that half the losses were bad teams. The other half Sym was bad choice but you stuck with it. 10 losses because you threw the game, if I was blizzard I would ban you too.
I’m saying that playing Sym due to her Niche you need to be ready to switch more than people who main other heroes. Is this so hard to understand? You very clearly one-tricked Sym in comp so far.
What niche is that? Because sym works well almost all of the time if you play with your team and put offensive pressure on the enemy. Please go watch a high end Sym guide so someone explains to you how well she works in the game. If she works she works and doesn’t need to be swapped. Just like every other hero in the game.
Jeff Kaplan wants this magical place, where people care and try in competitive, while encouraging you to swap and work with your team, while also saying you can also play any hero you want. It’s a shame because those three things can never exist to its fullest. The dev team needs to make up its minds about One Tricks. It’s toxic and is only a detriment for Overwatch.

This is not about your team just ‘wanting’ you to play something more useful and productive than Sym, it’s about your team NEEDING you to play something more useful and productive than Sym on Attack on Numbani. Walking into competitive and playing Sym 100% of the time ‘idk just because I want to :)’ is a terribly selfish and toxic mindset to have in competitive. You are in the minority, everyone else is willing to work together. Here is another quote, just for fun.

This does not mean forcing Sym on Attack on Hollywood, it means realizing you are the issue on your team, and swapping to work with them.
Dva does not work in all comps at all ranks despite what people say. I see so many people “throw” with her but no one bats an eye. People don’t really care about that when it comes to most heroes, it’s just an excuse to hate Symmetra. Not swapping from her is throwing. Getting demeched and dying every 5 seconds is fine.
I can list 10 other heroes this applies to. It doesn’t mean playing Sym against the odds is wrong.
You have made it abundantly clear that its your lack of self-awareness that lead to your ban. Jeff has said Sym is a niche character, and sure you can play sym with a certain team comp, but the team isn’t built around you. Is it even possible for you to take a step back and objectively look at yourself.
I said i have bad games sometimes. That is objectively looking at it. I implore you to play Sym a lot. Get good with her and see the situations that you can look at and go “damn all those people complaining are wrong. I can actually do this. This works”
You are so bent on Sym not being able to work that you think people who play her a lot are wrong.
On the flip side, why do the other people have to deal with sym players who require the team to play around them while sacrificing a support slot? It makes games so much harder for the sym player’s teammates and easier for the enemy.
Seriously, if you realize that so many people dislike playing with you to the point that they feel the need to report you, maybe you need to adjust your playstyle a little.
What you’re missing is that those bad games, you could have switched and maybe done well. 20 mins on Zenyatta isnt switching in my mind.
It’s a double standard honestly. No one cares if you don’t swap off of most other heroes when they don’t work. Same problem, but to their eyes it doesn’t exist unless your hero is Sym or Torb. Those two are always the problem even when they’re not.
Go ahead and look at past seasons where I played other heroes more. The difference is this season is still early. I’m doing better as Sym than before and higher rank. You have all these hypothetical matches that you didn’t play saying “play other heroes you’ll do better” I give you proof of doing worse and you say that doesn’t apply.
What do you say to the other people here who have lost matches? Is it the same for them? for you? Why do you lose your matches? The only possible reason for you guys is it being Sym. You assume that its Sym but you don’t actually know.
