Suspended for no reason?

Almost a month ago I was playing ranked and I killed this Doomfist main about 7 times as Mercy without dying, I had about 17 to 19k healing ish so It’s not like I wasn’t doing my job as a support, he just kept diving me and kept dying to me, that was the last game before I got suspended.

This time when I got unsuspended I didn’t even say anything rude, more like “We got this guys” generally supportive stuff even when someone was being rude, Now I’m suspended again for a whole month.

Is there a way to see exactly WHAT I got suspended for? It just says a list of potential things but none of what I did.

Can people seriously just spam report and suspend people?
I can’t find any way to contact any support team to get to the bottom of this and I get zero responses from the email, I just wanna play Overwatch and make some friends ;-;

Hope this also doesn’t have anything to do with me swapping to Linux, I just wanted a more optimized OS since my PC is getting there with age, my boyfriend help me set it up but I’ve heard some people have gotten banned because it triggered the Anti Cheat or something.

Suspensions aren’t usually based on one single report.

Your e-mail should tell you what the suspension is generally for. You can also ask support why you got suspended or what you specifically said to do so (though you may have to ask them multiple times).

You can also ask them about Linux, but it’s probably not that.

I know, that’s why I am wondering if spam reporting can get someone suspended?
Seen it happen to people on TikTok but i thought it was fake until it started happening to me.
I’ve seen people or had friends say really bad stuff but they are just fine, I always get a suspension when some salty dps or tank onetrick on the enemy team gets angry at me.

Why would you expose me like this? That’s why I reported you to begin with.

People talk about making some kind of a ticket with support and that most of them are automated but eventually you get a real person. I don’t know where this is done though.

It’s like looking in a mirror! Two of my accounts were permabanned for no reason too  One of the permabans was for “hacking” after glocking someone, just like you, and the other for “language,” but I don’t curse and I’m not toxic to my team or theirs in chat. It’s almost like gamers are salty and abusing the report system or something… Blizzard support refused to investigate the first two, but when my third got suspended I finally got through to someone.

  • Ask Blizzard support what you specifically said/did that you got banned for in a ticket. Be clear, direct, and concise with your message, they might be using translators and they’re definitely using GPT. This account (my 3rd) was banned for “language,” I finally got a human being after several tickets who saw I hadn’t done anything wrong and reversed the ban.
  • If all else fails, try going here: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/157641 and submitting a request for your data. You’ll have an easier time getting it if you’re in the EU since you have a legal right to receive your data, unlike the US: https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/157641 You can use the data to help prove your case, and the request might jumpstart their support into investigating, some forumers say it worked for them, it doesn’t hurt to try.

Third time (account) was the charm for me, but it took over 20 tickets total across all 3 accounts, so that’s about a 1/20 or less chance you’ll find someone at Blizzard who cares. Good luck!!! :sparkling_heart:

This sounds horrifying.

Both bans were after OW2’s release, after having OW1 since launch. Imagine every time you start the game up, even today, you wonder every time while waiting on the loading screen if it’s going to be your last.

Their mob rule system is like if you went on Twitter and said “save the elephants!” and 5 ivory hunters found your tweet offensive, so after they report you, your entire account is permanently banned with zero recourse or help from support.
