Anybody else think there needs to be an option to surrender in competitive?
Sometimes games feel so hopeless because of teammates and Id rather go next and preserve my sanity than sit there and simmer in it.

Also if you have a leaver and that player doesn’t return after a set time.
Match is canceled, leaving player is demoted and banned and remaining players can rematch if they choose to.
No I’ve never felt the need for a surrender option. I have pulled too many 0-1 wins to think giving up is a good idea pretty much ever in comp.
Any match can turn around. I played one today in Master where we completed King’s Row with 4:32 left. One guy on the other team declared it to be gg and started blaming folks, but they ended up winning in round 4. Way too many people would have hit the surrender option after round one.
No, I’ve seen so many games flipped. If there was a surrender option, these moments wouldn’t happen.
No. First off in competitive it sounds awful. One of my games yesterday we got capped on with 3:20 left and just were rolled from start to finish that round. We ended up winning that game. I had a Blizzard World where we got 2 lucky picks the first fight to take A and then we were literally spawn camped for 5 minutes before getting 2 picks again and getting it halfway through B. We then full held them easily. Comp games can go from rolled, to unlosable easily.
The reason surrender exists in some games is because in MOBA games if you are down 15 minutes in there are times when you cant catch up. Even if you can pull off tricks to win a team fight or two you are still unbelievably behind. In Overwatch that is not really the case.
i think a surrender button would be the end of this game
just stick with rough matches, there’s always a chance you can turn it around
this game isnt even a snowbally one where being behind feeds into itself, just play it out
I’d say would be better in QuickPlay, don’t think its right for competitive
Surrendering is slang for female canine behaviour.
Even if you’re getting absolutely stomped you may as well stick around to the end because you can still learn, observe why the enemy team is stomping you, what you could’ve done different et cetera.
People who say “gg go next” after losing first point are so pathetic and cringe. Let me list why:
In short, no I don’t want surrending, especially in Comp when so many people are quick to give up when games are still clearly winnable.
Another coward who is not even trying and think it is because of the others….
