I just got into a 6v6 comp game. Other team had smurfs, my team had new players. Matchmaking at its finest. We are being farmed in our spawn. We have a leaver. There is nothing to do but wait until the game ends. This is stupid.
Why isn’t there a surrender option so I can get into another game in hopes I get lucky with an actual game that matches my mmr?

I was out of position for my first death, I’m an idiot. However, that’s irrelevant to the team mmr. it’s obvious i stopped playing when there was no chance 2 mins into the game.

I played horrible but the teams and the overall flow of the game seemed even. I think I pulled together late in the game as solider.
This game was fun, even if I lose I prefer these games.

Completely unwinnable, we were out played and I played my butt off. Check the final scoreboard. When the teams are even in skill and being outplayed: that’s okay. however this wasnt the case.
No. Even I think MR shouldn’t have a surrender option. Hero shooters aren’t league of legends where the enemies champs scale with lvl and items. Every game is winnable if you or your team plays better and this is coming from a hard stuck diamond player when I played this game seriously.
The quick answer is that people would absolutely 100% abuse it. And then we’d have forum posts about people being toxic because someone refused to surrender.
IMO if 2 people on a team leave then the match should just end.
People who left should get 3 losses at full SR. People who would have won should still get the win. Everyone else should get a loss but perhaps not a full loss
Enjoy your next game. If it bothers you that much might want to make sure it has a surrender option or just isn’t multi-player in general. Less likely to get toxicity if it isn’t pvp
In comp… can’t you leave after a while if you get leavers in your game?
You’d just be swapping out ‘DEFEAT’ with ‘ABANDONED’ in the replay section.
I get it, some games are just that bad, and it wouldn’t matter if you played your heart out. Sometimes you really can play perfectly and still lose; You’re only 1/6th of a team.
I think, purely logistically, a surrender option is perhaps not the best idea for OW, primarily because the games are so short.
Anyway, I’m sorry to hear you’ve been having a miserable time in your games recently. I’m not exactly the matchmaker’s biggest fan either, but it can’t account for the fact that people will go to great lengths to manipulate their rank to punch below their weight.
If anyone has a ‘paper thin mental’: it’s the people smurfing in low elo. I wouldn’t let them ruin your gametime tbh. Same with people who cheat, they’re a dime a dozen and they’re so thin-skinned and rubbish at the game they have to have a cheat program play the game for them .
This is a thing that happens so often in this game. You get that ONE player who loses all hope after a bad start to a game. Then, because the game is so snowball-y, we end up winning anyway.
