If they don’t, nothing will die. The fights will never end. The payload will never be pushed.
Stop complaining about dying as a Support. Supports have to die for the game to function. If supports simply don’t ever die, everyone lives forever and the game never ends.
I mean generally yeah they do. It’s basic game design. You make the thing keeping everyone alive the primary target, and the most valuable part of the team (that you need to make sure stays alive).
So why don’t your team’s supports die then. If you’re complaining about the game not ending, at least my team can win then.
Actually, why don’t the tanks die? Nothing to mitigate the damage done to the precious DPS.
Hell, why don’t the DPS die? A team that can’t fight back gets slaughtered quickly.
Why don’t you focus fire? Mercy and Moira’s heal caps out at a bit over 200 HPS when combined. SOldier 76 alone will tear through most of that with all his skill.
This mentality that supports only exist to serve their team and cave to the enemy on a platter is why people don’t look fondly on dps and why no one really wants to play support in the first place.
Ana’s anti-heal still gives people fits - even back before she was buffed again and a complete dumpster fire of a character. I’m sure there’d be forum riots if it was buffed.
Why? If the enemy has no dps you win just as easily if they have no healing. Focusing down the enemy’s damage (e.g. mccree) is just as good a strategy to winning as focusing their healers.
They kinda do actually. If the your supports die and the enemy supports live, you lose. And the same is true in reverse. This is why peel from the tanks is so very important. Keeping those supports alive is key to winning the fight.
No, no, no, you don’t get it. If you have bad team work, comp set up, or out played, you lose. Don’t scapegoat specific class for that. I seen game in quick play people dorked around and had all dps/support and still crushed the other side because they overcompensate with experience better coordinated attacks than the other team.
Google search “Overwatch Spawn Camp” People straight up have infinite heals in the spawn room, and it doesn’t mean jack if they can’t fight the other team well or stay on the objective.
Rather than insist that support has to senselessly die for a team to win, why not better your game.
w…well if you pick 1 enemy tank / dps, you can win a 6v5 right?
maybe it depends on the situation but i think a pick is still a pick in most of situation
