"Supports Need To Adapt In OW2!"

Yeah, I’ll adapt. Adapt straight to the Tank/DPS queue.

Good.
The more people show Blizzard that they enjoy playing DPS heroes and tanks that behave like fat DPS heroes , the quicker the supports will get reworked to be more DPS-like and less backline heal bots, that never engage and run away from fights.

It will likely just cause the game to get rid of tanks and supports as a concept. Then you can have the COD you always truly wanted. I mean, it will be dead when they do that. But you can personally play against bots if you want.

I don’t like COD, Valorant or CS:GO.
But if Overwatch played more like arena shooters,BF, Titanfall, ect, then I’m off for that.

You clearly do. Otherwise you wouldn’t say the things you do.

Realistically they will just make the game 1-3-1 and buff the healing of the Support role.

“Support needs to adapt to OW2 and git gud!”
Zen: adapts by buffing his own health and melee power
“Wait no, not like that!”

OW is in a niche of team FPS games that closely resemble the gameplay of arena shooters, with other stuff mixed in.
I don’t want it to play like Call of Duty but at the same time im not a fan of it to playing like a MOBA or close to it.

Idk about you guys but Zen kicks butt in OW2. Literally

I enjoy the Support in OW2. its more like a skirmish game now and we just need to get our protection from cover and positioning. We need more gamesense now and have to react to more dangers but thats not generally bad. the whole game gets harder and more challenging, maybe itm over the top, but thats not a bad thing. and the beta is here to get feedback (constructive one) and get the right amount in the end.

So maybe just write down why you feel this way and it will be more helpfull

That’s one of the reasons. Support is much harder to play now while at the same time being like half as rewarding as playing DPS or tank. I literally don’t see a reason to queue the role unless: You’re very impatient and want instant queue times because no one else is playing this role OR you’re some kind of freak who likes your video games to be as unfun as possible.

I’m having a great time playing DPS and Tank in the beta, but support is miserable to play. Even in Open Queue, if I get into a game where I “need” to play support (either through backfill of someone leaving because no one else picked support or I didn’t instalock another role fast enough because EVERYBODY is trying to instalock DPS or Tank so they can hope the last person to pick is willing to bite the bullet and sacrifice their fun for the good of the team and pick support), I’ll just leave because the role is just so bad to play.

Damn thats a Critical Hit right there.

Dont bother mate, he is just trying to paint you as a “CoD lover” so your posts can be dismissed, classic bad faith.

Idk why you even bother responding. The guy says bad faith and in the same sentence is hyping up the guy who’s post is literally “afk healbots”

Honestly, I just like the fact that every time they speak they slowly erode Thier reputation.

Poor pew-pew-pew DPS don’t have enough brains to play OW1 tank and had to ruin it?

Didn’t they JUST say they want more “Mercy style heroes” in the game?

I think there’s an amount of adapting that needs to be done to play style for supports. (And no, I won’t insult them the way everyone else is) You have to take cover and pay attention heavily to your surroundings, and hone your ability to cope with flanks for sure. Duoing with someone who will peel for you is definitely helpful.

However there are some elements that are just cheesy crap; primarily in the form of mid range burst damage. The number of times I’ve had a Sojourn ball dropped on my head, took a railgun shot to the dick while slowed, and then had a magnet grenade shoved where the sun don’t shine is infinite. It feels like there is very little risk and skill involved on the dps’ part to slap a support THIS hard, and in a game that admits it is becoming more brawly and phasing out shields, it’s really a high bar of expectation for supports to meet. Will dedicated players get wise and improve? Sure, but if they don’t do something I feel like a lot of potential support players will turn away.

for me its quite fun to go Lucio and be a mobile, disrupting and supporting hero.

or be Zen and get the better over a genji trying to blade in my face.

I feel like OW2 is rewarding more playmaking supportstyles
