Support torture queue again

It also doesn’t mean that your experience isn’t an anomoly. Most people don’t enjoy being fodder.

Unless you play in low ranks where you can actually survive dives on those heroes consistently. Then ig I understand.

Diamond to masters. Maybe that’s too low where people don’t know how to play Tracer or Winston idk.

These heroes are significantly more fun to play against than Sojourn, Widow and other insta gib heroes. Not really an unpopular opinion

Considering that Sojourn is hard meta right now during dive and Widow pops up during dive too, they’re not mutually exclusive.

Doesn’t mean they’re dive heroes. They’re poke heroes. They just one shot from across the map with none of the risk that every single dive hero needs to take

I didn’t say dive heroes. I said dive meta.

Widow has popped up in dive more times than poke has even been meta.

There’s no risk in 3v1ing a hero who’d be at a disadvantage in any individual 1v1

Widow and Sojourn catch 10x more hero bans than Tracer, Genji, Winston. Wonder why

Are both meta in dive

Because they’re the most popular heroes in the game and are considered high skill?

Widow and Soj at least are good. If we’re going off of isolated examples, Sombra catches more bans and she’s not even good. Doomfist does as well but he’s arguably better.

Buuuttt people told me Dive meta is the best meta???!? It’s almost aS if all the metas suck depending on the individuals playstyle

This seems to be the Support version of the DPS player coming to cry that Supports never heal because of their last game. In both cases, it’s a stupid and pointless cry into the uncaring void.

It’s 5v5, so of course it was miserable.

You mean Weaver, the main that I climbed all the way from Silver to Plat on? That Weaver?

Of these, my best option would be Kiri because I’ve actually been practicing her. But I was so stupid tilted that I forgot she was an option

You probably expect me to fight back on this, but no, I agree. That’s EXACTLY what happens when I get into a Support rut like this. I turn into a toothless pinging crying infant who’s too busy smashing the ping button to focus on winning duels. I’m aware of it and I hate it so much. The less I feel like I have to ping threats, the more I win

Try “the latest 2 games in a series of bad Support games spread out over a long period of time”. There were more before it, but with long breaks inbetween. That did a lot of good, obviously

Meanwhile, on DPS, I’m having a fine time right now. You know, during this rut, I have actually tried queuing Support after clearing my head playing another role. I’d be feeling great and positive, like I was performing well that day. Guess what? The Support matches still ended up miserable

That’s the weakness of a passive support with low dmg.
Not saying that lifeweaver is bad but when people jump on your butt, you kinda die without team.

Lifeweaver is NOT a “passive Support” with “low damage” and I have no idea when people are going to stop repeating this lie

BAD LIFEWEAVERS are passive and deal hardly any damage. Good Weavers are sticking thorns in everything any chance they get. Which is quite often

He still doesn’t have the dmg to defend himself.
He is not threatening.

But i understand how it is to play with braindead teammates.
That’s why i go kiri lol

Thorn Volley: 131.87 DPS while firing (99.17 with reload)

The only Support who does more damage while firing is Zen, and only with Discord. Without Discord, his is still lower than LW

Really though, in those kinds of matches, I’d like to start going Kiri too sometimes. No sense tarnishing my LW’s WR with a lost cause. Maybe I could at least get something resembling practice out of it

Against who? I 1v1 a variety of the roster regularly and win unless it’s a tank or someone more mobile than me.

Thorns to the face face faaaaaaaace. It takes a lot of work to please scoreboard gawkers looking for damage stats to compare with Moira, Zen, or Kiri, but LW high mobility and headcrits let him dive supports and DPS pretty well, especially if they’re out of position. He suffers against Tracer (and aerial units because of the stupid slow velocity of thorns).

I used to take pride in WR until I realized it doesn’t matter how well you do, you’ll get hate “cuz LW”.

I can see from the first screenshot you faced a Mercy, which easily explains the desperation that ensued.
Then you got PTSD from it in second game.

Classical case of Mercy Trauma, i prescribe you with one month of Mercy banning, we’ll meet again to check on the evolution of your condition.

More like ineffective Venture play and Tracer back to back zippy headache.

It’s omitted from your screenshots (Thank you blizzard) but several of those players are group stacked. They are sweats on alt accounts, once identified you just have to accept you need to lose the game and move on. This ‘torture’ is just a symptom of an even bigger problem that Blizzard has intentionally kept concealed for years.

Well that’s a possibility lol.

…you do? I kinda just walk over any lifeweaver i fight.

I’ll admit my aim is crappy with kiri because i can’t play as much as i want so he will escape more often than not, but with bap i pretty much gun him down.

Ironically i always had low dmg on kiri. But i don’t really care about supports doing damage as much as saving teammates and doing some pressure.
