I played two Support games today. Both miserable stomps where I got jumped on constantly and 0 help 0 support 0 team 0 brain and I was tilted to death so I ended up being a worthless bot too

“mUh MuH mUh LiFeWeAvEr Is StIlL wEaK” let’s just ignore the fact that one of those DPS spent the ENTIRE FIRST ROUND AND A CHUNK OF THE SECOND WITH ZERO ELIMS and the fact that I was ONCE AGAIN GETTING DOVE BY TWO PEOPLE WITH 0 HELP 0 CARE FROM ANYONE DESPITE THE INCESSANT PINGS. Other one wasn’t much better. Care to tell me which Support can win a LITERAL 1VS5? I would lose no matter who I’m playing because surprise surprise I’m not a T500 deity I’M A PLAT. Everything I tried failed
I’m done. Finished. I’m just going to queue DPS for now. Then at least when it’s a bad match I can do something resembling gameplay and won’t feel like the whole team is reporting me. And I won’t be tempted to spam pings/sarcastic voicelines and end up giving them any real reasons. I don’t know if I really will climb past Gold on the role, but if that’s where I belong, so be it. Let me rot there. I’m just glad I’m capable of making the enemy suffer here. Make them scream at their Supports for no reason while they line up to die like drones. I don’t care. Let them all be miserable
Now if chumps would STOP mashing “group up” while I’m playing Tracer and in position for the next fight hidden behind the enemy team, things would be perfect
Doesn’t that purple “IV” mean you’re the sweatiest player in the match? Maybe you should kinda expect to be assigned as the “carry” if you grind ranked so much.
I’m not defending the matchrigger, yesterday my match was so badly stacked against me that red team had one player just standing there at spawn door, saying hello. It was Doom, and he had 500 damage, 0 kills, 0 deaths. One player 100% throwing, and it was still a ridiculous stomp.
Still, if you’re in a losing trend in 5v5, try 6v6. Tanks are nerfed, and you can theoretically counter easier as dps.
I was gonna suggest brig until I heard she was banned
That’s what I fear the most when I play tank or support, losing my options from the ban(s) + my other support stealing the only decent option left.
There shouldn’t be a “carry” assigned in any match, as both main game modes are designed to match based on equal skill of the players within a lobby.
Also, time spent grinding this game does not necessarily translate to skill. As it is not an RPG. Some players learn faster or are simply more interested in improving than others.
Furthermore, there is no way to tell who is the most experienced player in a lobby. As accounts are free to make and a vast majority of players have more than one account.

Sure but at the same time you werent trying to give yourself a better chance of winning albeit slim by the support you picked when there were better options.
Honestly, all of them suck Tracer/Winston period. Baptiste does not have the kill power to deal with a tank if even one of his cooldowns has to be used early. He lacks horizontal range to dodge either. Characters like Brigitte, you coudl whip shot winston, then 180 turn around dash away if he tries to dive you. While still giving repair packs that go through shield to other allies that might not be able to run away.
Lucio’s mobility is a higher skill tier of expression than Winston or Tracer. Its very easy to mess up and lose the mobility. They can still chase after you because their burst speed of faster than Lucio’s.
Kiriko is probably what I would have picked. You could at least still try to outrun from either, try to duel Tracer, but still have to always give up space to Winston. Winston is easily Kiriko’s worst tank to have to deal with because she does literally nothing to him and can’t save people in bubbles without say risking burning both cooldowns to TP into it.
Right, Kiri. LW is actually one of my mains, but I have been practicing Kiri lately trying to pick her up as a secondary. I could have tried her against the annoying Tracer

Again, I picked LW because he’s one of my best Supports, survivable, and can put a steady stream of high damage pressure on long sightlines. And also I forgot Kiri existed again
Dude everyone has really bad matches. All players who are on Support get focused and have hard matches. Sometimes back to back. Sometimes teammates aren’t going to help. That’s how it is for every roll. Just do what you’re doing now. Take a break from Support and play something else. I had a huge streak of like 17 losses through multiple days and decided to take a break and then come back to play some DPS.
I understand that LW is ur main support ur great with. But sometimes even if u havent worked with kiri much u could have still tried with her. U never know u could have surprised yourself by doing well with her in that match
If the match is just a stomp i switch n work on another support ive been working on. Sometimes i end up doing very well in the match with them
1st match I would’ve went Mercy just to stick with Dva. Let the dps get pounced so they know what you’re going through.
And your DPS in that 2nd match did less than half their enemy counterparts…Stats don’t tell the whole story, but this is a glaring diff that should tell your dps to try something different
Id have gone lucio, but then again lucio is one of my mains. He’s really good especially with boop distance minor perk, which is essential if you’re playing 5 v 5 with that nasty tank passive. Can displace the divers. And you can chase tracers down who you see took chip damage.
I assume your team not being around you to help means they were in or closer to the enemies backline? Lucio would be right there with them I’m surprised your mei wasn’t peeling.
Join us in 6 v 6. You send tanks flying on lucio. Plus the off tank can peel. Ime there is a bit more teamwork there and It’s much better balanced, as ow should be
At the end of the day, it’s a matchmaking diff. Those games where you wreck the enemy team, having a great time, those enemies are often experiencing what you are now.
Thats what i tend to stick to now that they added it to be counted in the drive. At least last season. So hope they keep it. I rather do open q than role
Queuing DPS has been great so far though, even though the first two were losses. But now I’m on a 4-win streak and moved back up to Gold 4 (hopefully not jinxing it). It’s very much a relief
Maybe after I get comfortable enough on Kiri, I’ll try to improve my Lúcio next. I would love to be able to play him
