Recently, I was silenced for toxic behavior. That was on me, I was having a really rough week and I took it out on other people, and I shouldn’t have done it. I served the two week silence, and then about a week after, I get a notice that my account was suspended. The email says NOTHING, no reason, no text logs, nothing. I sent an appeal because I am confident I did absolute nothing to deserve the ban, and I wanted proof that I deserved it. My suspicion is some people reported me due to my playstyle, and due to the recent silence my account was sanctioned immediately upon seeing that I was reported, with no care taken to actually view the case to verify the legitimacy of the claims in the report. All I got were automated responses saying “sanctions are applied because you broke the ToS, here’s a link to the ToS” incredibly vaguley. I have a right to know why action has been taken against me, and I have a right to get actual responses from support. This clearly shows that no effort was taken to look into my ticket by anybody, every agent just sent the same exact auto response to get their ticket quota up.
I suppose you just have to keep opening tickets until you get a response from a human.
OK. What do you want us to do about this? Devs don’t look at this and CS blackholes people here to ignore.
Im willing to bet that this system has banned or suspended over a 3rd of its playerbase that has played 3+ hours. Half of its playerbase wouldnt even be a stretch
I believe they dont fix it because their aware of the fact that most of those players just create alt accounts and boost their numbers
i mainly wanted to know if this is a common problem or if the support team isnt actually that bad at their jobs and i just got a couple bad apples
Apologies then. This is pretty common. Likely customer service is masses of outsourced workers who get paid by the email they process. They are cheap and unskilled labor kept around for pennies. Keep submitting tickets until you get an actual answer from someone. That’s the only way you’re going to get any sort of answer.
You only have rights here, that Blizzard is granting you. I don’t remember anything in ToS that would grant anybody that right.
That’s a bit of a stretch. If it were about payments or anything relating to payments, maybe, but rarely, if ever about account punishments.
You have to be lucky if you get a CS that’s willing to indulge. Best you can do is ask for a copy of your data, which is under EU law a requirement for companies to give.
