There has been a lot of chatter about how Mercy is dropping and dropping recently and people seem to mostly use the average winrate of her while also leaving out her pickrates so here I’m going to post this weeks stats on the support category.
To me, the numbers seem very close to be honest, even when she’s below 50% winrates it still not by that much compared to other heroes.
Remember this list is only looking at the support category on Overbuff for each rank.
Not the biggest fan myself by the aspect that I cannot detect those who derank on purpose anymore. On the other hand as a person who plays soloque only, I cannot allow the enemy to see my stats while themselves hide them, so I have to hide mine as well.
It only affects the sample size’s reliability if there are a specific demographic of people that do not use public profiles.
Edit* Just to put this in perspective, what it’s actually like is there being 10,000 people in a room, and asking 3000 of them at random. As long as you don’t specifically ask people of a certain group, then it can be assumed to be representative of the population.
They are taking statistics from a specific portion of people, the ones that have their career profiles open to take statistics from, not the entire player base that plays the season at that time though, as the rest are hidden.
You literally said I have no brains and that I should not be discussing in public forums. Even if you did want to give information to someone or correct them you are simply too rude while at it. You literally have no manners whatsoever to take you seriously.
I’m going to go ahead and assume that whenever election results come around, and your country of residence has the pleasure of living in some sort of democratic form of government, that you assume there is a high reliability to the pre-election predictions. They often are indeed, they may not always be 100% accurate, but they’re usually reliable.
This is similar. For lack of a better term these are “polls”, polls are conducted on a minority of a population to estimate what the entire population does/thinks or whatever the poll is surveying.
To say that this is “unreliable” would also effectively be you discrediting most polls ever conducted. Either you have a clear lack of what surveys are and how they are conducted or you’re feigning what you know is true to fit your narrative.
I’m not saying Overbuff is perfect, but people were more than happy to say “aNA Is sO wEaK!” while looking at the site, why isn’t it valid to do for Mercy?
