Support Passive Ability Feedback

I feel I’m not qualified to provide feedback on the DPS and tank passives, so I’ll just discuss the support passives.

General Intro:
I think overall the choosing of passive abilities is a cool idea, but some passive abilities are just way better than others. The passive abilities should be situational to make players have to think about which passive ability will help their team get an advantage over the enemies.

Resourceful:
As much as I love the Resourceful passive, because it made certain supports feel a lot more fluid to play like Lifeweaver, it is by far the most OP and should be nerfed if these passives ever get added into the game. It’s way too good to pass up on compared to the other passive abilities. I would tweak it to be more situational like the other two passives. I was thinking it could be something like, “Reduced cool downs if a teammate is eliminated.” I think putting this kind of limit on this passive would still fit the name of “Resourceful” while also keeping it in check. Kiriko, Ana, and Bap were especially OP with the Resourceful passive and I can see they would be the reason why we don’t get these additional role passives. I didn’t really test to see if this affects Zen’s discord “cool down” (I assumed Resourceful didn’t affect discord) but it would be something to add to Zen to give an incentive to choose over the other passives for Zen players.

Swift Save:
Honestly, a really good situational passive. I personally liked this passive on Mercy as it made her healing feel more impactful. In one game, I was able to build ult in the first 30 seconds of the match. This was a good ability on Zen as well because it made healing tanks a lot easier. I can definitely see tank and dps players complaining that this passive is too strong, but I saw most players complaining about Resourceful more. If Resourceful didn’t exist, I’m certain that Swift Save would have been the most complained about support passive.

Close Call:
Close Call is extremely situational. It’s too situational. I don’t really see a reason to pick this one unless you’re a Reddit Lucio. A potential buff could be increased movement speed is activated when moving towards a critical ally that is more than 10-20 meters away? This would be very useful for slow supports like Ana and Zen to get them back to point faster.

Conclusion:
Overall, I like the idea of customizing the hero you play in someway. However, I fear it will result in inevitable nerfs to certain heroes. If the passives lead to nerfing certain heroes to the ground, then I’m fine with not having these role passives in the game, even though they helped certain heroes tremendously.

An idea about Resourceful: maybe it could reduce cooldowns by 20% only for abilities that have a base cooldown of 10 or below? (Or whatever other number works best) And either keep the abilities above that threshold unchanged, or reduce them by a flat 1 second or something

I enjoy extra ammo for Tracer. But why in earth even have that as a choice for Hanzo?

If they want to make a mode with all the left out passives from PvE that heroes had, that would be nice.

But I’d rather it just be a separate casual fun mode where all heroes feel strong instead of this King for a Patch cycle that this game is in trying to be competitive.

There’s no need for serious balance as if an Esport still exists.

My vote make choose a passive it’s own mode. No RQ either.
