Support HPS list

Okay so… this is a list that really anyone could’ve done. Basically, it is all Support’s healing per second (HPS). You can pretty much find most of the original values on the Overwatch Fandom Wiki. All the values are from there. To make it more interesting, for heroes with more than one healing ability, I will put a value for the healing ability with their main heal. The fandom doesn’t mention HPS for burst healing so that will actually be new here.
Starting in no particular order:

-Lucio-
16 HPS for regular Healing Crossfade and about 12.3 for himself.
Amp It Up will increase this to 52 HPS for allies and 40 HPS to self.
(Straight from Fandom… nothing special here) (This is simple enough so no need for base stats)

-Ana-
Each shot is 70 healing over 0.6 seconds and Ana shoots every 0.8 seconds so about 93 HPS? (93.1 to be exact…)
With nade’s buff of a 50% boost to healing so about 140 (139.5 exact) HPS
This 140 HPS is without the instant 100 healing from a single nade.
Nano just heals a flat 250 instantly

Base stats for Ana:
93.1 HPS basic attack
139.5 HPS nade buff + basic attack
250 instant for Nano Boost

-Moira-
Okay Moira’s HPS changes based on how far she is from her target, but I’m going to use the values from the fandom so just take the values with Moira’s mist with a grain of salt.

Base Mist HPS is 70 HPS with 17.5 HPS that lingers for 2 seconds. Idk if these stack, but if they do then that meaning Moira heals 87.5 HPS by just holding left click.

Orb is 65 HPS and with mist the HPS is either 135 or 152.5 (Again depends if the linger stacks or not… idk)

Moira’s purple suk (Biotic Grasp) heals herself 24 HPS and plus Orb it is 89 HPS to herself.

Coalescence is 140 HPS to allies so 205 HPS if you heal with Orb (Potential of 223.5 with the 2 second linger from Mist). Coal heals 50 HPS to herself and with Orb it is 115 HPS to herself

Base Stats:
87.5/70 HPS Mist (depends if stacks or not. Unsure.)
65 HPS Orb
135/152.5 HPS Orb + Mist (Depends if mist linger effect stacks with itself. Unsure.)
24 HPS Grasp
89 HPS Grasp + Orb
140 HPS Coalescence
205 HPS Coalescence + Orb (223.5 with mist linger… only 2 seconds for this however.)
50 HPS to self Coalescence
115 HPS to self Coalescence + Orb

-Mercy-
Mercy only has two heals for allies, then her Regen for self.
Regular healing beam is 55 HPS with it becoming 60 HPS during Valk. (Valk changes the beam to an AOE super charger like heal. Mentioned via @InJecht)
Regen is 20 HPS
(Another one to basically just be taken straight from the fandom wiki with no extra details)
This is simple enough so I’ll leave out the base stats section

-Zenyatta-
Zenyatta… is another simple one.
30 HPS for his heal orb and 300 HPS for Zen’s ultimate
(Another that is basically just taken from the Fandom Wiki)
Simple enough so no Base Stats section.

-Brigitte-
Okay Brigitte is slightly more to cover.
Brigitte provides 15 HPS for Inspire and 55 HPS from Armor Pack (110 over 2 seconds)
This means that Brig can provide 70 HPS with Armor Pack and Inspire combined.

I will actually include Rally here… despite it not technically healing. It gives off 30 armor per second so with Inspire and Armor Pack, Brigitte can provide about 100 health values each second (This… the best way to describe them stacking… as it makes your team extremely tanky if everything goes at once). 70 in healing and 30 as extra armor?
Sorry this one was kind of weird, I just thought it would have been awkward to leave out Rally.

15 HPS Inspire
55 HPS Armor Pack
70 HPS Inspire + Armor Pack
30 Armor Per Second Rally
45… health values per second (?) Rally + Inspire
85… health values per second (?) Rally + Armor Packs
100… health values per second (?) Rally + Inspire + Armor Packs

-Baptiste-
Baptiste’s Biotic Launcher is 70 healing per shot that is direct with only 50 for the AOE explosion. This is shot at a rate of 0.9 per shot so… 77 HPS direct and 55 HPS AOE

For his Regenerative Burst, it is 15 HPS for allies and 30 HPS to self. This is 93 HPS direct and 70 HPS AOE for Biotic Launcher mixed in. (This would actually be the highest base AOE HPS that is not from/with an ultimate)

Baptiste’s Amp Matrix (or Window) doubles all projectiles values that go through it whether it be damage or healing so his Biotic Launcher is 154 HPS direct and 110 HPS AOE

77 HPS direct, 55 HPS AOE Biotic Launcher
15 HPS allies, 30 HPS self, Regenerative Burst
93 HPS direct, 70 HPS AOE Regenerative Burst + Biotic Launcher
154 HPS direct, 110 HPS AOE Amp Matrix + Biotic Launcher
169 (nice 1[69] haha) HPS direct, 125 HPS AOE Amp Matrix + Biotic Launcher + Regenerative Burst

Okay, I believe that is all the healers and I probably did some of the math wrong. If anyone catches something, please leave a reply about it.

They do not stack.

For armor, it’s dependent against the hero, sometimes that 30 APS from rally is effectively 60 HP/S against any damage ticks that are less than 10, and approaches 35 hp/s as the damage ticks increase. Rally is deceptively powerful.

Well there are values for both at least if it did or didn’t.

Posting numbers won’t have any effect, this isn’t good feedback, Blizzard has all the numbers they need to make theoretical balance changes.

… That’s not the point? It’s just to provide information. I’m not trying to make any points like “Blizzard does bad balance” or something along those lines.
Its more info than the wikis other than what the abilities do alone.

Indeed, I just didn’t really put extra thought or reasoning into the list…

The list did help me find some things sort of interesting… A thing I found was a character who is known to be extremely simple to be (Moira)… much more effective than I was expecting lol. To reach almost half Transcendence’s amount of healing through just using orb and left click is impressive.
I’m not trying to really say things need nerfs or buffs, the list was basically digging around through pure curiosity. At least that is what I was trying to do.

You know what? This whole how much heal do hero should be in game on select screen.
Actually ow does not have any info, even achievements are not clear look for hog and orisa for example.

The OP never brought up balance or anything meant to be controversial. It was all just numbers! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

They were just showing potential heal numbers per support.

I will bring something controversial in and say that I’m a bit saddened that the OG support cast had overall fairly low healing stats and they strayed away from that initial design very quickly.

Before Zen’s soft rework, on launch he only healed 30 HPS with orb and 100 HPS with Transcendence. When he got 200 HP and 30% Discord instead of 50%, he also got 300 HPS Trans.

If you think of it, Mercy had the over highest single target healing of 50 HPS and Lucio having the highest overall heal potential due to his AoE. It was fairly uncommon for a support to get over 12k healing in an average match.

Now-a-days, even with Mercy, it isn’t unexpected to get that amount or more with all the cast, except Lucio and Zen.

I kind of wish Blizzard didn’t begin increasing heal numbers so drastically, as it threw balance around like a pin ball machine and only higher healing supports have been released since the OG cast. You would think with Ana only coming out within 3 months of release, they would’ve balanced her closer to the OG support cast, but they didn’t. Her heal potential was actually above 140HPS with nade, as it was a 100% buff on her launch. It was drastically higher than the other supports.

You forgot to put the nature of her healing when ulting is chain healing so the 60 hps during valk is an aoe heal. That can hit up to 5 players (minus her) more probably if like bob. So it becomes up to 300 hps + self regen. Or 60 aoe hps plus her self health regen.

… No? Okay that’s how much Mercy heals everyone combined, but that doesn’t mean Mercy heals transcendence level. Per person, it is 60 HPS. When I mention AOE, it is usually because it is a different value. If the value is the same, then there is no real need to mention it.
I could still mention that it is AOE in valk…
Also self regen is still the same value, just constant. It doesn’t increase. I’m only mentioning values usually, not specific details about abilities like extra perks that don’t really affect values.

And done, stated as 60 AOE HPS. I compared it to like Supercharger as it attached to allies very similarly.

Her self regen is part of her healing kit. Since she has an ability to self heal. So you could potentially add that to her healing as an extra 20 hps whenever that is in effect on top of her healing. She can’t heal herself besides that so in actuality her healing can go up to 80 hps with 20 self regen and 55 on other targets. And with valk her aoe cleaves meaning everyone get’s healed the same 60 hps per people nearby. Plus self heals if she triggers self regen. Meaning up to 320 hps during valk in ideal conditions (death balls). Or 380 hps with bob next to a deathball.

Heal per second accounts for all healing done, even self regen. This means heroes with shields that regen there heals also heal themselves like Zarya/Symmetra/Zenyatta and should be budgeted into healing.

We also have to factor in comp’s that use Ana as her healing grenade doubles values of healing on paired healers.

Also you can argue rez is probably the most op heal since it revives from 0 hp, that can be like 350 hps for a winston rez since it takes like 1.75 seconds to pull off and provides 2.25 seconds of invulnerabilty.

You are looking at total HPS overall. I am mentioning individual values.
Values… are arguably more useful… Total HPS is usually assessing how fast you can get your ultimate/how well are you doing.

(Also… rez doesn’t heal as it doesn’t add anything to your healing stat.)
