Mercy and other healers would not outshine Ana if blizz wasn’t so stubborn about giving Ana actual, real buffs instead of nerfs in disguise like removing her preheal. Their intention is to keep her weaknesseses, while at the same time double standarding and removing Hanzo’s weaknesses because they seem afraid of granny or something, but it’s ok for DPS to become godly overpowered who can do everything and cannot be countered by any means. Ana has weaknesses that need to be buffed but they’re noped out on that.
All it would take would be some form of self-sustain like every healer has. And lowering the cd of her only disengage tool. And the overheal mechanic would be great as well as they removed her pre-heal mechanic and give her some leg-up in being a decent main healer again. As of now, she does too little healing to be considered consistent main healer and offhealers brings an important defensive ulti to the table to substitute offhealers like lucio/zen out.
They could also give her nanoboost the ability to increase healing done for healers as pseudo-healercounterultimate and make it still useful if you accidentally shot a nano to someone else or the nano decided to have a mind of it’s own. As it is now, it can be only used offensively or as minor damage mitigation. But then again it might be too ridiculous if you could nanoboost zen trans to do 450hps + then grenade that to do even more hps and everyone becomes literally invulnerable to everything but burst dmg.
But countering a dragonsurge already takes far more than zen transcendence and combining 2 support ultis to counter 2 enemy ultis and their team seems like a good trade.
I’ve been saying this for awhile, but I also believe it would be to compensate for power creep. Mercy and Ana were nearly tied in healing season 4 after nade nerf. Then chain heals and Moira came out, putting the average healing 2-4k higher. At this point Ana could get her 100% healing nade back and it would put her in line with the other two.
I’m not sure. I play better and I’m more concentrate when I’m having fun. When I bored, even with an op hero, I’m just… not enjoying it, and I don’t want to make effort, or even try…
She is balanced the problem is she is just too good while other supports are either weak or almost useless but that is the devs for balancing the game wrong.
What i meant to say that compared to pre nerf she is balanced and if every other support followed that line of good the game would be great for instance
Ana having any sort of selfhealing that was not bionade
Buffing Lúcio’s barrier and reducing the cast time
letting Moira keep her heals through barriers
things like that… like i said the problem is that the other supports don’t have abilities like discord orb nor one of the best cooldown abilities in the game aka rez to help them out this is why she is back to beeing a must pick which imo is stupid.
Yeah no, i caught that after. My bad. And no, i wouldn’t even call this balanced compared to pre-nerf. Going from overly extreme, to slightly less extreme, is still extreme.
Honestly I think she’s Ana is fine where she is. People who do play her in diamond and above generally play her effectively. The problem is there’s no point in running Ana because Mercy does everything Ana does, easier. To be honest, there’s really no team comp you can’t say mercy wouldn’t fit in. Even a quad tank, she would do just fine in… though Moira is obviously better there.
Mercy just has no weakness and she has the best of everything. It’s like the balance team was out to lunch when they redesigned her.
Just give Ana self healing and reduce her sleep cooldown a little and she will be better again. I’ll never understand how a skill shot have such long cooldown while Mei can just freeze people for almost 2 seconds and they can’t do anything
