All supports are hard to play correctly. If all of them had high skill floors, there’d be way less people playing them in the first place, which would be good for nobody.
“Ana is a hit scan healer, which gets mediocre rewards from extreme levels of good aim.”
Fixed
Healing is quite strong in the game, I won’t deny that. Triple support is only viable though because that one particular support also acts like an off tank. Replace her with any other support and suddenly triple support lacks the frontline to make use of the added sustain. Triple support is exclusively enabled by Brigs.
And the point??
All he said was real, there is no point in playing ana, heck I would say no point also in playing moira.
Having a mercy in your team is a bless. If the enemy team got her, and u didn’t it’s gg most of the times. Only way to win when that happens is by just being better than the enemy team.
If both teams were on the same skill level, having mercy can decide who wins.
Wrong, only reason why I don’t play mercy is that she feels easy to master. Only reason I stopped playing Lucio is that anyone can go full dspstanky with wall rides now, and that’s coming from someone who had over 150 hours on lucio back before his rework.
If ana was good enough of a hero I would start playing her.
I don’t mind being a heal bot if the hero I’m playing has satisfying skill shots I can be proud of doing.
Only support hero I enjoy atm is Zen.
Is it less ironic if I express the same exact sentiment with my hero roster?
I would play more supports if they were like in Paladins. I main support in Paladins, believe it or not. I still have a Kinessa/Skye/Androxus that I play whenever I feel the burn of playing the role over and over again; however, in Overwatch, there is no one for me to play once I experience that fatigue. I just alternate between Road/D.Va occasionally, and Ana, I guess, which I only play for about a game at a time because I get tired of the “I need healing” spam relatively fast. I do not have the patience for that nonsense.
Easy to understand is not the same as easy to play. “Just click heads” and “Just one clip” is easy to understand yet extremely challenging to do. People like mechanical challenge and half the supports do not provide that. I am telling you easy is boring
Not that much since she cannot headshot.
If you really want her to be extreme aim/high reward she should have her base heals reduced but a headshot bonus of ×2.5 while headshot scoping.
Conveniently ignoring anti heal and sleep dart.
Sigh.
I want Ana to be better, but you can at least be honest with your post.
Mercy’s ultimate is pretty weak. I agree that Ana could use a small buff, though. Moira is fine. Her right-click damage is a tickle.
In what world is Valkyrie “weak”? ESPECIALLY compared to Nanoboost.
Also, I’d think that OP playing a character a lot makes him/her perfectly qualified to speak on the character lol.
its not the same
the ana player needs to play much better to compete with average mercy player
a average mercy player will outperform a good ana which doesnt make sense and imagine the average ana’s?
ive been saying this for months but nobody cares they want the game to remain super easy
Best ult? No way, now I know you’re a troll
To be fair, it has nothing to do with her aim. It has to do with poor design. When she was introduced (after a few tweaks) she had the meta. “this is ruining the game” and “this is the worst meta ever”. Same as every character release. Her winrate at the time was 49% on PC. On console? 46% if Memory serves me right. They nerfed her and console players BEGGED for separate balancing. Even after her buffs and QoL fixes, she went from a 39% winrate to a 47% winrate. She’s never had a positive winrate outside of grandmaster, and it has always been lower than the other healers.
She needs fixes to her kit. The skill involved isn’t the problem. It’s irrevocably damaging a kit that was already set to expire.
She needs self sustain.
If that’s not enough, possibly a slight buff to healing. Something like maybe 15% of healing splashing in a 8m radius to the target hit. That’s what, 11 points of residual healing off of the original target? Not enough to make someone unkillable, but possibly enough to add the reliability of Mercy’s beam and Moira’s heal over time.
She doesn’t need much to bring her on par to other healers.
Reliability and self healing. That’s it.
Average ana’s heal terribly, I don’t want them picked and would rather have two off-healers than an Ana and off-healer. Ana probably needs a heal buff.
Auto-Aim:
It’s Mercy’s healing and Power Boost. That’s it. If it was damage, that’d be another thing.
Incredible Mobility:
Which is entirely dependent on her team. If her team is badly positioned, she may as well be a standstill target.
Lucio’s mobility is arguably better.
Best Ultimate In the Game:
You’re joking, right? Valk is one of the worst.
As for Moira?
AoE Healing:
So does Lucio.
Auto-Aim:
No, it isn’t. It’s a soft lock on, you still have to aim her reticle. It detaches pretty easily.
Great Mobility and Survivability:
Lucio’s is better.
Decent Damage Output:
What, don’t like Supports being able to fight, too? Her Alt Fire is 50 DPS, one of the lowest in the game.
You just need to get over yourself. The Support roster is hard to play in their own aspect, just like any other hero.
Moira is not auto aim!!!
Support heroes being harder to play is a bad idea, they should be more fun and easy, so they can be interlocked for an change insted of DPS
come on… it isn’t auto-aim, but with this radius, it’s hard to miss shots.
